Marcos Jr talks about 'evolving' ties with the US over not just defence, but also on economy, tourism, and health care. I must ask what is he smoking? The US? Bringing economy, tourism, and health care? This is 2023, not 1993.

PH enhancing ties with the US is gonna put it on the road to war. What good is the economy, tourism, and healthcare from the US in a war?
Easy peasy. What he means by Economy is bases = more service men/women/LGBTQIZ more employment for brothels that do not discriminate age groups and genders. The same applies to or for "tourism" = passport bros. And finally for Healthcare = sending more NURSES, HEALTHCARE workers from the Philippines to America DUH!!

Mykhailo Podolyak (Adviser to the Head of the Office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy) cries on Twitter, quote:

We all see a strange media/sensation once again... "On the anniversary of the war, Ukraine planned to strike at Moscow with everything it had, but its partners made it change the decision", the reputable American media conspiratorially reported. Of course, without details and logic. And so I have a simple question. Why would there be a need for us to do this? What task would such a one-time action solve? Would it change the course of the war? Would it make the Russians flee? Would it remove the need for weapons? So, such publications, with the obligatory reference to "anonymous sources", fulfill only one catastrophic function: they shape public opinion in Western capitals as if Ukraine was an unreasonable, infantile, and impulsive country that is dangerous for adults to trust with serious weapons. Whether this is done consciously or unconsciously is yet another question. But this does not change the point: Ukraine sees things differently. We approach the war with ironclad mathematical logic: we need long-range missiles to destroy Russian logistics in the occupied territories and various types of aircraft to protect the sky and destroy Russian fortifications. These are the main components of successful counteroffensive operations and minimization of losses. Maybe it’s time to stop playing with excuses and back-alley realpolitik while the war is still ongoing and people are dying?

So China did end up having to do damage control over the incident. Its as a I said, it runs counter to the MO China has been promoting, diplomacy is a game where you sometimes have to swallow a bitter pill for the sake of professionalism and by extension your country's interests.

Simply put, if you think its as simple as telling countries you don't like to go f themselves, then write a web novel rather than comment on international diplomacy.
you are way too stretchy to get feeling well.

The Foreign ministry said two things, 1 the Ambassador was saying his personal thought, 2 China's policy remains. In no way did the ministry saying the Ambassador was wrong in saying what he has said.

This kind of things have been repeated for decades by US and the west regarding China. It is a well-known tactic of good cop and bad cop. The damage was done on purpose. The damage "control" is just like "I didn't mean to step on your toe". Take that whatever way you like.

[add]
The Foreign ministry's original speech also called the western media (that is your opinion) distorting (刻意曲解). That is essentially backing the Ambassador instead of rolling-back or sort as you wanted to interpret.

Then economist wonder why anti work is popular and labor shortage is happening all over the west.

Wow is he ruthless to poor people lmao. Poor people are to blame for inflation says BOE.

British households and businesses “need to accept” they are poorer and stop seeking pay increases and pushing prices higher, the Bank of England’s chief economist, Huw Pill, has said.
“So somehow in the UK, someone needs to accept that they’re worse off and stop trying to maintain their real spending power by bidding up prices, whether higher wages or passing the energy costs through on to customers.

Which is why China is no longer a threat, but just a challenger...or sometimes competitor maybe

Seeing Spanish, French and German leaders getting Chinese reception, it suddenly dawn on the british mind that UK maybe missing out.
