Great! Now china can bomb all the apartments in Taiwan and level the entire island without repercussions! After all, they are no longer civilians, they are combatants and therefore they are all valid targets.

Nope, there are less open WTO cases against China than there are against US. So this is American state misinfo.

Yes obviously Chinese IP thieves exist, but to a smaller extent than American IP thieves. Glowies talking about these points is like Indians accusing other countries of having rape culture.

Chinese diplomats are not blunt enough. They should make it clear that China wants a simple transactional relationship. If you want support in Ukraine, you can't attack Chinese territorial integrity. The problem is that the European side doesn't even understand this. The replies to this tweet are great, but why is there no official Chinese response to the tweet? You could use their own words against them. In the "international rules based system" nobody can redraw the borders of China

What you're not getting is that, as a sovereign country, China is not obligated to follow US IP laws.

The US is free to pursue legal action against any Chinese entity in the US for IP violation.

But it has no jurisdiction on Chinese entities in China, or any other country.

A Chinese entity using American IP in China is not in violation of any law, despite US propaganda making it seem otherwise.

Accusations of "stealing IP" is just the US throwing a tantrum that it can't get other countries to follow its IP laws. In fact, there's nothing illegal about it, and the US was itself famous for doing this to Europeans back in the day.
