Kinda funny, seems like in the past 24-48 hours the TikTok hearings may have backfired.

1) Congress look completely stupid and a bit racist to not only the us tiktok audience, but worldwide
2) Asian dudes can be cool
3) Everyone on tiktok hates meta
4) The Restrict Act got expose to be another Patriot Act

The far right are now against the bill.

According to the Brazilian FM citing ApexBrasil, China and Brazil have reached agreement that both countries will start to use their home currencies, namely RMB and Real, in bilateral trade. In 2022, Brazil's import from China was 60.7 billions in USD, and export to China was 89.7 billions.

巴西宣布：中巴双边贸易将用本币结算，不用美元​

当地时间3月29日，巴西外交部引述的巴西贸易和投资促进局（ApexBrasil）的一份声明宣布，巴西已与中国达成一项协议，将不再使用美元，以本币进行双边贸易交易。

根据该协议，巴西与中国之间的对外贸易和融资业务可以通过将雷亚尔兑换成人民币进行，反之亦然，从而避免了在交易中将雷亚尔兑换成美元的情况。

根据ApexBrasil发布的消息，中国是巴西的主要贸易伙伴。2022年，中巴双边贸易额达到1505亿美元（约合人民币10365.1亿元），创下历史纪录，其中巴西出口额为897亿美元（约合人民币6177.7亿元），进口额为607亿美元（约合人民币4190.7亿元）。

中国与巴西拟推出双边贸易本币结算计划,但或阻力重重​

路透巴西利亚5月26日电---巴西和中国计划在部分贸易交易中使用本币,令人愈发揣测美元作为世界储备货币的日子是否已屈指可数,不过专家认为此举多停留在政治意义上,且面临极大阻力.

中国在4月首度超过美国,成为巴西最大贸易夥伴,两国贸易额超过30亿美元.两国迅速推出启用巴西雷亚尔和人民币进行贸易结算的提议,以此巩固经济实力.

但巴西与中方直接用本币结算面临不小的阻力.若计划实施,央行和出口商将面临相同的问题,即持有的是不可自由兑换的他国货币.央行可持有货币并将之兑换成美元,但出口商认为过于麻烦,不值得涉足.

分析师认为,巴西和中国通过该提议为本国货币和经济投了充满信心的一票,两国均希望增强在诸如国际货币基金会(IMF)等多国组织中的实力,反映其对世界经济的重要性.

Didn't the new Czech President want to receive English Vegetable? what happened to that? Maybe he was reminded that little czechia needs Chinese money rather than indulging in slavic fratricide as their Polish brethren do.

  • If April 11 trip is confirmed, Lula would meet with Xi on the 13th. The departure would be on the 11th.
  • The petista would avoid a meeting with the president of the European Commission if China accepts the date. The Brazilian government receives Ursula von der Leyen on April 12.
  • But Lula would be back in time to receive the Russian chancellor. Sergei Lavrov will be in Brasilia on April 17 to meet the president.
  • Xi, on the other hand, has an equally tight schedule of international visits. In April, the Chinese receive in two separate delegations the leaders of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, and Emmanuel Macron, president of France.
I wouldn't blame him, that Ursula von der Leyen is a menace.

He also probably wanted to be in the country to handle Bolsonaro when he came back.
