Normally there's a lot of airspace clutter that just doesn't get picked up on or ignored in peacetime, America is a very big country.
Since the weather balloon episode NORAD are probably working overtime with alerts so it's not surprising to see all these callouts. If they keep this up the USAF will bankrupt themselves.

Regarding the 15,000 drone thing, it was a report by just one newspaper, which, in my opinion, is fake. Let's lay off the obsession over it until there is an official confirmation by either government or by GT.

US detects yet another unidentified object over northern Montana. The information was disclosed by Republican Representative of Montana Matt Rosendale. He says the object could interfere with commercial air traffic and the US military will resume efforts to observe and land the object tomorrow morning.

Looks like it was a FALSE ALARM:
In a statement, the US military says it has detected a radar anomaly over Montana and has sent fighter jets to investigate, but has not identified any objects.
