Directly quoted from the Chinese Aviation Industry Thread.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan has officially terminated the MRJ SpaceJet regional jet project, and will liquidate its Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation subsidiary.

From the tweet:
Many years ago, some Japanese media were mocking China's C919 and ARJ21 ago. But now, China’s C919 has begun delivery to the customers, while ARJ21 has also been delivered to many Chinese airlines and even exported overseas. Time will tell everything.

Partially quoted from a reply:
Even with complete set of industrial chain support from the United States and Europe, the MRJ SpaceJet project still failed.

I think we can learn two things from this:

1. It is no easy feat for any country to develop, build and maintain sizeable passenger jetliners. So far, other than the US and Russia, no individual countries, even those with advanced technological and scientific capabilities, are able to completely master the construction of indigenous sizeable passenger jetliners on their own.

Right now, China is the only one out of everyone else who is working hard with tears-and-sweat to fully enter this category.

2. China's ARJ21 regional jet and soon C919 narrowbody airliner can only be made into reality and success thanks to the immense support and backing by the entirety of the citizens, government and country of China.

Republican bills. 17 out of 18 of them are aimed at China. They include a ban on the use of the digital Yuan by US corporations and admitting of Taiwan to the IMF. Biden isn't worse than Trump, he is just a part of an ongoing trend.

As stated, the Republican Party's internal documents show that they have adopted attacking/bashing China as a political policy. This is literally their elections strategy - reinforcing and making use of the American public's hysterical fear/hate towards China to take power.

This has been the case since Trump. Previously, the Republican Party was actually the more China-friendly party because they were making massive amounts of $$$ off of it. But as China attempted to move up the value ladder and started challenging American business dominance, they did a 180.

It's all about the money and power.

Erdo better not forget this gesture of goodwill. I expect him to rein in his pet dog Cavuslogu and improve relations.

it will be surprising for Erdo to change considering his divisive policies and the way things are structured there.

US will have hard time to manufacture passenger aircraft with 100% supply chain inside US.
Only runway at Hatay Airport was tore open.

I do wonder how reconstruction effort is going to work. Given the amount of destruction on buildings and road. The ones that are still standing may very well be compromised. Seems like it’s going to be quite complicated to deal with.
Latakia airport still standing probably older from Soviet times. it is not too far from Hatay.

I don't have high expectations.

Remember when China sent millions of vaccines to Turkey while the West was hoarding them? Remember how grateful Turkey was? Yeah.

Ayways, the good news is that, apart from your occasional anti-China statement, the Turks are still pretty quiet about China and haven't done much. So imo the current Turkish policy is okay.

Just don't expect any gratefulness from Turkey, because it's not coming. The best one can hope for is more anger amongst the Turkish people at the West when they send little help, which would be useful to prevent a rapprochement from whoever leads Turkey after Erdogan.
