Well you cannot fly lower than that. The worse thing is there no real replacements at the horizon. It's just horrible.

I think they don't realize that it's for OPFOR, not to actually 'train' Chinese pilots.
OPFOR is considered as training. You cant play chess or sports with yourself no? You have to play stronger opponents to grow. Words also circulate that PLAN recruited some ex- USN pilots and carrier personnel to help with CV-16.
OPFOR is about imitating the style of your opponent. USAF operated fishbeds/floggers not because they are necessarily superior airframes, but that they are authentic replicas of the real thing.
