Being Canadian I cannot see Canada being something else than US lapdog... how would the US react if we say no ? It would not take long to be officially part of it. It's just that it's more convenient to the US that we are still there.

Military troops where in exchange in British and US forces and aircrew were in US aircraft doing combat mission and our C17 was doing cargo flight to the conflict for ''training''. So not sure about the level of balls.
