Lieutenant General
NATO believes Nord Stream gas pipeline leaks are result of SABOTAGE, alliance will RESPOND to any deliberate attack on its critical infrastructure - NATO statement.

Statement by the North Atlantic Council on the damage to gas pipelines

  1. The damage to the Nordstream 1 and Nordstream 2 pipelines in international waters in the Baltic Sea is of deep concern. All currently available information indicates that this is the result of deliberate, reckless, and irresponsible acts of sabotage. These leaks are causing risks to shipping and substantial environmental damage. We support the investigations underway to determine the origin of the damage.
  2. We, as Allies, have committed to prepare for, deter and defend against the coercive use of energy and other hybrid tactics by state and non-state actors. Any deliberate attack against Allies’ critical infrastructure would be met with a united and determined response.

So, Article 5 declaration by NATO against fellow NATO member(s), Europe returning to its natural state then.

Interesting that they explicitly mention "international waters", a term coined by the US navy to justify its violations of the UNCLOS.

Fourth leak detected after ‘sabotage’ of Nord Stream pipelines in Baltic Sea

  • Sweden’s coastguard discovered another gas leak on the Nord Stream pipelines damaged earlier this week
  • The European Union suspects sabotage was behind the gas leaks on the subsea Russian pipelines to Europe
A fourth leak has been detected in undersea pipelines running from Russia to Europe, the Swedish Coast Guard said on Thursday, after explosions were reported earlier this week in suspected sabotage.
“There are two leaks on the Swedish side and two leaks on the Danish side,” a Swedish Coast Guard official said, after three leaks were confirmed earlier this week on the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea.
The official added that the two leaks on the Swedish side are “close to each other”.
The Swedish coastguard could not immediately say why the latest leak only appeared days after the initial breaches.
