only a hypocritical country where people don't believe in their own righteousness has to do this. They know they're at least manipulating the truth so they need cult behavior to enforce their beliefs.

China doesn't need a pledge of allegiance like Latvia, North Korea or some certain country because 99% of people are just regular people who live their lives and not a tool to be used by the government.
