It seems HMS Queen Elizabeth may be busy in the future, not sure if it's still coming to the pacific.

Timing seems a bit interesting, perhaps they are trying to save face after getting pushed around by the Russian?

A headline from esquires Philippines.

"HMS Queen Elizabeth Attacks for the First Time"

"A display of ‘formidable air power.’"

"The British Are Back on the World Stage"

This, together with the Russian antagonize. And in a few weeks time in SCS. Really? Poor little Britain that lost an empire, but it's still thinking it can play with the big boys! Gee. If it wasn't for your Lord and master the U.S. little Britain wouldn't even dare get out of the North sea!

With only 8 F35 they purchased on board plus the other 10 F35 belongs to the U.S. yeah. China and Russia is shxting themselves. Go ahead and enjoy sending a few rockets up the camels bum!

A former U.S. President was right. Britain lost the "great" their empire, and its still doesnt know what to do 70 years later.

He was well known for die-hard anti China stand ... wondering what happened ? Wondering how long it would take that somebody would say it was China's fault

@ansy1968

What do you make of that. I always thought of him as a U.S. poodle. What about his mother? Is she any better?

Thats a double attack. Imports and exports

It just seems so Mickey Mouse.

It is like saying, "China pays the tariffs!"

China's solar power generation capacity is already double that of the United States.

China's production of solar panels is like 10x or 20x times more than the United States production? It is so much more, no one pays attention to it.

If the Americans do not want to use or sell to the Chinese solar industry, then that is it. Not much more to say.

Like who cares, you know. The Americans have a big market, but when it comes to solar, they are not that important.

There is the catch-22 here. China is so dominant in solar panel production, the sanctions only affect Xinjiang companies. It will not dare to touch other Chinese companies, because if they sanction the entire Chinese solar production, Chinese solar industry will continue along, but the American solar installations may be stopped altogether. There is no where else to get supply.

You clearly did not see the battle field. Sure US can block whatever products they want from all those non-sense reasons. Do you think that will make a dent in their overall trade deficit? The numbers below clearly tells that the Americans are just sitting out there, consuming the worlds products without producing them themselves. Just figure out how long this living beyond their means can last.

Lieutenant General
Correct me if I'm wrong but China produces 80% of the world's monocrystalline solar panel?

Now obviously that's not all Xinjiang, but you can see where I'm going with this. You can kiss any green-flavoured BRI goodbye.

Not necessarily, they are trying to force out Chinese solar. They can still do their green-flavoured BRI copy, it will just cost multiple times more money. Part of me can’t help but think that’s a feature, not a bug. A hallmark of western ‘privatisation’ has always been about transforming public assets and money into private assets and money with astronomical profits for the well connected few private individuals involved, so why would this be any different?

Just jack up the RMB now. What are they waiting for?

I don't know where's the adult in the white house is nowadays. Where's the joint-up thinking? Man. This is going to hurt the U.S. a whole lot more. Good luck with going green and infrastructure building and the back to the future or back to whatever policy to rival Belt and road.

I think it is different, and important.

Simply put, this action from the United States government has no real impact on the Chinese solar industry.

So why are they doing it?

After a while, I doubt the CCP will care.

All the CCP will see is American weakness.

This clearly is American impotence, but instead of thinking that they are weak, the Americans still believe they are strong. Stronger than China, that's for sure.

Having this kind of misconception, tends to open oneself up to attacks from all sides.

The Chinese are patient. The prefect line of attack will open up sooner or later. The attack will launch itself, effortlessly.
