Even the Iskander ballistic missile systems have been deployed.
The US is also moving warships in the Black Sea.

Is that Russia just posturing or are we going to see fireworks?

My guess, things are going down. Get a beer, some supplies and enjoy the show
Iskander aside, the Russians have also set up a big field hospital near the border. Ukraine is panicking and doing this:

Today PLAAF entered Taiwan ADIZ on four separate instances, not sure on the total aircraft count yet.

A friendly conversation occured between ROCAF and PLAAF. After the standard warning from ROCAF about entering Taiwan airspace the PLAAF pilot replied "all of this is Chinese air space, you will get use to it soon".

Ever since the Anglos failed to seperate HK from China proper, the intelligence services/government apparatshits have gone absolutely apeshit trying to do everything in their power to harm China- even something as inane as blocking CGTN from the UK.
@hashtagpls The American plan is to win Taiwan by destroying HK, the CCP plan is to reform and rebuild HK to win Taiwan, so there is battle of the mind going on and from my perspective the west had given China a carte blanche to finally takeover and reform HK instead of waiting until 2047. that is a foolish blunder on part of the west. The instant gratification attitude of the present generation of Western leaders is the reason for this blunder.

@voyager1 bro sorry to disappoint, Pentagon Joint chief Milley had called his counterpart in Kremlin by passing Austin for consultation and Germany with France had already warned Ukraine. this show how cluster fxxk the current administration is, bypassing your civilian boss is a sign of disrespect. I think the rumors of withholding the nuclear codes from Biden is true.

A strong and united European Union that is in lock step with the United States is good for US power.

A Europe like the historical Europe of nationalist nation states competing for power, is of no use to extend US power.

That is why brother, I think Putin is making his move.

Russia attacks Ukraine, and grabs the territory. They will steam roll them.

That will send Europe into crisis, and that will send the trans-Atlantic relations into crisis.

If NATO sits around and watches it happen, then what good is NATO?

There are three Europe(s). Western Europe. Southern Europe (Club Mediterranean I just had to say that, Club Med). Central or Eastern Europe.

Germany is Western Europe. But they can change and be Central Europe.

Club Med probably does not really care, they do not want trouble, too busy at the beach anyways. Who can blame them?

Putin makes his move. This could fracture Europe, or it can fracture the trans-Atlantic relationship, or it can backfire and Europe and America renew their marriage vows (but that means the status quo is upheld). Putin also knows that if it backfires, the status quo is being upheld underlined by Jerome and his printing press machine! The best in the world!

Russia is in a no lose position at this point in the game.

That is why we do not read anything much in the press about the Russian Ukraine situation, or whatever we read gets downplayed.

The China angle here is that an alliance of like minded countries to band together to confront China, only really exists in Europe. America needs a united EU of one mind to take on China. Although I believe it does not really matter, together they can try but it unlikely will succeed. If Russia degrades western unity, then Biden is back to fighting the trade war tech war unilaterally against China such as what President Trump did. And that did not work.

It is that basketball game, the full court press. Russia, China, Iran, full court press against America around the world.

:p

Sea version
ROCN: “Shuozhou, please break off approach towards our 24-nautical-mile line. Please move away immediately.”

PLAN: “Taiwan area 1105, Taiwan is part of China; the Taiwan area has no navy. My navigation here is in accordance with Chinese law. Out.”

MOSCOW, 9 APR-RIA Novosti. President Of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky says a new truce is needed in Ukraine. After visiting the contact line in Donbas. The head of state wrote on Facebook that shots fired on the front line have become "dangerously commonplace. What happen after Xi
Thats another issue altogether (a serious one).

Xi has said he wants a "law-based government" and there has been made a not of progress towards this goal. So new institutions must be set up, new enforcable rules, more transparency, more public involvement to setting laws (need legitimacy, can be by requesting public opinions, NGOs etc)

So progress has been made but lot more needs to be done. Personally I dont think anything "bad" would happen if Xi had to step down suddenly. But I think by 2030-2035 the institutions and enforcable laws would be far more powerful to ensure an orderly transition of power than now
