Fat Pomp’s family is also on the sanctions list, so China is way ahead of you there. ;)

I doubt China will sanction Trump though. It’s one thing to go after former officials, but it’s a completely different level to go after former presidents.

Besides, why would China want to sanction Trump? He is probably the single living American who has done the most to boost Chinese power domestically and globally. I think Beijing is secretly sad he didn’t get a second term.

Sure Trump pulled the trigger on a lot of anti-China initiatives, but we have to remember that those ‘bombs’ were planted long ago, and could have done exponentially more damage had their been used more wisely. Now not only have Trump wasted them all, he has also poisoned the well and made it much harder for America to plant more bombs in the future.

My problem with the whole situation is the US/West like to use the illusion of freedom to one up China in the PR info war, when in reality its just illusion and deceiption... in essense cheating by having cake and eating too...

Its leaving a Cyberpunk 2077 taste in my mouth... where the dev CDPR pitched the game as the best thing since sliced bread, lied and misrepresented to the wazoo, by the time they were caught red handed they already sold 13 million copies and now have no motivation to fix/complete the game and left the suckered gamers out to dry.

America gets to capitalize on PR wins like freedom of speech and markets (while affirmative bashing China for percieved lack thereof at every oppurtunity) when it was always just hegemon capture and rides the coattails of its past successes (WWII) to write checks it cannot cash and basically living off the house of cards by conning everyone

Problem is not so simple.

They are right to suspend trading to protect inexperienced traders being lured into pumping various penny stocks right now.

amc, blackberry, nokia, express, naked brands, etc...

All these we’re pretty much dying or dead but a few posts on reddit made people buy them at 10x-50x the price. None of these except for GME are actually setup for a short squeeze, which always finishes with a crash. These idiots will all lose money.

There’s massive manipulation on both sides.


It they don’t suspend they will get sued by the losers and scrutinized by SEC for not protecting novice traders/gamblers.

Yup ,they do honour people that have helped China. NZ has Rewi Alley. However I would not put them in the same class.

Wall Street Bets. Interestingly I was reading some comments on a geopolitics forum. As expected it quickly devolved into white people complaining about multiculturalism, people attacking said white people because the land wasn't white man's land, and said white people saying the land was ethically purchased from indigenous peoples. I quickly shuffled on.
