Well to be fair, whenever they get to export their ‘democracy’ and ‘freedom’, you pretty much have exactly that - self-hating racists made in the worst quasi-Nazi white-worshipping mould. Just look at HK, Taiwan, Japan, SK, the Phillipines etc. There are significant, if not the majority of the population there worship the white race and probably would kill their own parents to sprout blonde hair and blue eyes themselves.
Whenever you hear westerners pontificate about ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy‘, just remember they do so not for the benefit of the locals but rather with self-serving attitude of the very worst snake oil salesmen.
They don’t want you to do better, they just want to make you slaves that worship the ground they walk on.
Meh I don't think South Koreans worship anyone but Korean racial purity. The Philippines is the opposite though

I've had my battles on the internet with Koreans who brag they're whiter than Chinese. They're big on plastic surgery to look more Caucasian.

I see it as well in taiwan, where the people eschew anything 'asian' or 'chineseness' and worship everything white and western like the mentally colonised peoples that they are; the subjects of almost 2 centuries of colonisation.
Korean Americans or Koreans? Meh this whitening complex has been around centuries before the arrival of white people. It's the farmer versus aristocrat thing that has been around thousands of years. The plastic surgery in Korea is basically aimed at reducing cheekbones and jaw width and adding an eyelid. A lot of Koreans want to reduce their cheekbone - they have big cavities because the large air sacs insulate against the very cold weather in Manchuria, Mongolia and Korea.
They also try to make their face as small as possible. If people say your face is small in Korea, it's a compliment. They also try to make their jaws as small as possible. And ensure their nose is not too small or too scary.
If you look at our national hero Zhu Ting. Koreans have similar facial features to her, the big cheekbones and jaw. Southern Chinese have less prominent cheeks because the weather isn't as cold and the face doesn't require as much insulation. So yeah Koreans who undergo surgery want to reduce that cheekbone and jaw size.
And yeah Zhu Ting who is northern Chinese is also whiter than a lot of Taiwanese and southern Chinese. Partly because the sun comes out less, but also genetic. So yeah Koreans would be whiter than Chinese with Viet and Tai blood. And also a lot of my girlfriends like to avoid tanning to stay as smooth as possible LOL. I don't mind the silky skin for sure
