And if Russia is involved, then Russia might be trying to get US and China into a conflict.

Oh yes. I'll give u an example. See the current Taipei mayor Mayor Ko Wen-Je?? Back then when he looking for a second term as mayor (which he fortunately succeeded) some powerful people in the DPP camp teamed up with some FLG-affiliates and "human rights activist" Ethan Gutmann to smear him for organ harvesting (the truth is he only went to China to teach Chinese doctors how to use ECMO tech back in the late 2000s during Ma's government as a goodwill project). Ethan Gutmann even "testified" in front of the British House of Commons and the US Senate hearing saying that Mayor Ko is guilty of organ harvesting and must be prosecuted for human rights violation. The DPP Taipei mayor candidate Yao Wen-Zhe alongside DPP media also went on to smear Mayor Ko 24-7 saying that he should step down as mayor due to "gross human rights violations" and that he should be "impeached as mayor" and even "imprisoned" for it. DPP members even organized many hearings and international press conferences discussing this "scandal" with international journalists. Of course in the end everything is proven to be a sham but DPP simply shrugged it off and said that it "wasn't them who was smearing Mayor Ko" but only "a select few who is doing so" and that "Mayor Ko shouldn't tarnish DPP with false accusations". And of course since the only people who actively came out to accuse Mayor Ko of organ harvesting are DPP affiliates who are tied to DPP instead of DPP politicians themselves DPP itself was able to shrug of any responsibilities doing so. You don't know the true evil deeds that the DPP has done these years. If you wanna know more I'll tell you the story of how the DPP regime bullied a Taiwan diplomat in Japan into commit suicide then smeared China for it.

Wow, if the DPP affiliates keep up with their nascent "Operation Fall Bannon" to screw with American elections, that could crack the bipartisan consensus in America about Taiwan (and other parts of the China policy)
