Under Article 48 of the Criminal Law, the death penalty applies only to those who have committed “the most heinous crimes.” Courts have wide discretion in deciding what meets that standard, so don’t expect to be able to try to weasel out of it on a technicality as you can in western and Indian courts. And the expected level of widespread public outrage to Indians doing the most Indian crime in China is almost certain to generate, I would not rate the survival chances of any Indian moronic enough to test that law.

If such would be “surprise sex” enthusiasts want to test Chinese society, I remember back in the 2000s of pictures depicting an angry Chinese mob chasing down an African rapist and cutting off his member and beating him bloody. If for whatever reason, Chinese law fails the people, the people’s justice will self correct one way or another. Unlike Europe and Britain especially, the judiciary is not corrupt in allowing rape free passes to certain demographics.

Reminder that during the Obama years when Chinas supercomputer “Milky Way” beat the U.S. super, Obama immediately sanctioned Chinese access to American chips. Now….watch as American companies lose access to Chinese chip market if not the rare earths needed to make those chips.

US Supreme Court rejected Falun Gong lawsuit against Cisco as lacking jurisdiction.

The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that members of the Falun Gong spiritual movement could not sue a U.S. company that they claimed helped facilitate the Chinese government’s efforts to target and torture them. Writing for the majority, Justice Amy Coney Barrett signaled an unwillingness to expand the scope of a 237-year-old law that had been designed to allow foreigners to bring lawsuits in U.S. courts for violations of international law.

In a mixed ruling that reversed a lower appeals court that had sided with the Falun Gong members, all of the court’s conservatives joined Justice Barrett in the majority, and two of the court’s liberals joined in part. Justice Sonia Sotomayor dissented, joined in part by Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson. The Supreme Court case involved a federal law known as the Alien Tort Statute, which was enacted in 1789 by the country’s first Congress. The law initially focused on international disputes like piracy and threats to ambassadors, allowing for such foreign matters to be examined in American courts. For decades, the law has also been used as a tool to bring claims of international human rights abuses into U.S. courts. But in recent years, the Supreme Court has taken an increasingly narrow approach to the statute, limiting the types of claims allowed.

For those following the HPC space, it's even more amazing because China has stopped entering their most advanced machines into Top500 since I think around 2020, which is why US even has 3 spots in top 5 at all.

Jack Dongarra, the guy who runs Top500, even said on interviews at a Top500 event that he personally know China had multiple worlds fastest machines but isn't entering them into public list for national security, which is why a lot of American podium rankings weren't really promoted as much.

So the fact that LineShine is even allowed to enter Top500 means LineShine is far from China's most capable, and we're at a point where what's likely China's 2nd tier machines is already topping America's latestest.

According to a 2026 public opinion survey that the Lowy Institute in Australia released on the 22nd (local time), 51% of respondents said relations with China are more important than those with the United States. That is up 8 percentage points from last year. By contrast, 45% said Australia should prioritize ties with the United States.

Trust in the United States also fell sharply. The share who said the United States would act responsibly in the international community was 31%, down 5 percentage points from last year and the lowest on record for the survey.

By contrast, trust in China rose to 28%, up 8 percentage points from last year. Considering that in a 2022 survey trust in the United States was 65% and trust in China was 12%, this marks a significant change in Australians' views on foreign affairs.

We let a snake in during the winter but realized it quickly so we contained it and let it back out in the spring. Now the snake is lamenting that we didn't let it eat us to complete the fable.

Zionists are the worst people in the world and they think they should be given everything without reciprocation or even thanks. Online, I see them saying they don't accept the ceasefire, will keep attacking Lebanon but when their soldiers get killed, they scream that Hez violated the ceasefire... by killing invaders in their own country. These people take billions of US funding, use the US as an attack dog, but when the US needs to sit down and lick its wounds, they go, "NO, Israel will not sacrifice ourselves just so you can get cheaper gas!!" Even as a Chinese person, they make me feel bad for America, the country that instigated 6/4 and is the reason that Taiwan Island wasn't reunited decades ago.

I thought it was funny when I first heard the saying, "The zionist cries out in pain as he strikes you." Now I see it's no joke and that's exactly how they actually are.
