If Trump came out today and announces US official position is against any form of Taiwan Independence it would immediately cause enormous political damage to both Lei and Takaichi, to the point that Takaichi might have to resign and Lei impeached.

Obviously in this scenario China would then be watching US like a hawk to make sure that results in real actions like no weapon sale to Taiwan etc, but just the immediate political effect would be non-trivial.

Some people were hoping/fearing that, that's why before Trump's trip there were so many editorials saying Trump must not sell out Taiwan - they must have heard something. I don't think it will happen however.

I mean, reality of the matter is
1 - Taiwan isn't a real topic of discussion because China's policy since forever is Taiwan is not up to discussion, the maximum extend any conversation can go is China informing US of consequences of action, that's all.
2 - It's May 2026, everyone in the room knows US has zero ability to do anything about Taiwan, China doesn't need US to agree to anything and US has nothing left to agree to. If anything the only subject that has any meaning is US offering concessions to China to be allow continued access to TSMC after the fact.

It’s ridiculous how Russia grants visa-free access to Chinese visitors, yet its entire nation is consumed by rampant racism and aggressive nationalism. They openly bully, discriminate against, and mistreat Chinese travelers. Everyone knows China is the real economic backbone propping Russia up, it’s basically the one keeping their whole system running, yet they act so ungrateful and narrow-minded all the time.

Anyone who’s been to Russia can easily see their ugly true colors, and this country really doesn’t deserve a single bit of sympathy at all. 150 million arrogant, conceited and delusional people are nothing but a total mess dragging the whole world down, they are literally a cancer on this planet. Russia keeps deliberately stirring up troubles and creating hostile forces around China, thinking its little schemes are perfectly hidden. Ordinary people can all see through their dirty tricks clearly. If they keep pushing their luck and playing these foolish games, China will definitely settle scores with them sooner or later.

All kinds of Russian media content and street interviews get reposted and translated all over social platforms, and the nonsense they spout is truly unbearable to watch. Those uneducated, brainless lowlifes just run their mouths wildly without any sense. If these idiots could just shut their rotten mouths for once, Putin would be incredibly thankful to them, instead of letting them keep offending China and digging a deeper hole for their own country.

I got the impression that your text was written by a neural network. I should remind you that most of the electronics industry in Russia is often imported from China in the form of finished products. Yes, even their Sberbot is just Unitry in a different package, and the best they can do in robotics is the "Idol" robot, which can't even maintain balance and is 10 steps lower than even Asimo in the 2000s.

Prigozhin's rebellion wasn't caused by a surplus of ammunition, but by a shortage, and his appeal, which became a meme, "Шойгу Герасимов, где боеприпасы!??" is still relevant, and even the constant calls for citizens to donate to the army speak for themselves.

Currently, without China, Russia isn't capable of producing even 10% of what it currently has.

1. My experience with Russians does not fit your narrative; I find them proud but still friendly, kind, reasonable/rational and intellectual. I have met them in America and Kazakhstan. I have never been to Russia.

2. We do not need countries to be kind, sweet, lovely and flattering towards us, then buckle to US pressure. We need countries like Russia; regardless of how arrogant they are to us (according to you, and some others, but not felt by me), they stand strong against the US and all NATO and the effect is a big help to China. Solid actions are worth infinitely more than words or feelings.

3. All scores are settled when they stand back to back with us against the common enemy; there is no division between China and our greatest ally against Western/American imperialism. There is no desire in China to revive any old disagreements with Russia. Any attempt to insinuate otherwise, I cannot interpret as anything other than intent to help the West/USA by damaging the alliance that they fear most.
