The point is when you are rich, you can let a lot more slide and act like a nicer person at least on the outside. Being rich means you can be more tolerant of things thanks to money. You don't need to take so many desperate actions like a starving guy who doesn't know when his next meal is coming.
Joe Biden's America is an example of that where they still pretend to be rich and gives blank cheques to allies. That's why you still have loads of American bootlickers. All those EU people and other American vassals were boot licking Biden coz he was acting "nice".
Trump knows America is in deep crap much more than his first term. And even though he is president, he knows his political opponents are trying kill him. So basically a country in debt lead by a desperate man whos afraid of going to jail soon. Thats why America is doing all this stuff now like screwing over everyone. It simply has no more capital to play nice. Not that it ever was nice but it can't even afford the facade now.
