On a side note, I still cannot accept that leaders of socialist countries in the last century used mouth-to-mouth kissing to express comradeship.
In comparison, Modi's somewhat affectionate gestures don't seem so unacceptable.

For a time, I also believed that Taiwan had preserved traditional Chinese culture. However, after learning a little more about Taiwan's current situation, my conclusion is that Taiwan has truly "discarded the essence and kept the dross."

In order to cater to so-called international recognition, they have indiscriminately absorbed all subcultures, especially the currently popular 'LGBTQ+' culture.

That whole idea that Taiwan and HK "preserved Chinese Culture" is bullshit. The Culture they actually preserved is the Haipai from the 1920s because tradtional Chinese Culture already died during the Republican era because it was seen as backwards and CCP to some extant inherited it after 1949. My recent visit to Shaanxi really got me to question that narrative because I later learned that the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor was protected during the Cultural Revolution. If Mao wanted to erase traditonal Chinese culture he would have severed our connection to the ancestor of all Han people but he didn't. Plus people forget that literally every dynasty in Chinese history does a cultural revolution including the KMT.
