Again, China appears to have TACOed when it comes to trade dispute with the EU. Proposed retaliatory tariffs on EU dairy products dropped from the proposed 42.7% to only 11.7%. This follows the previous drop from proposed 62.4% on EU porks to way less than 20%.

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), which represents Chinese exporters, now identifies the EU as a greater impediment of trade than the U.S. (seeing little hope of entering the U.S. anyway).

Question: is Xi so preoccupied with the U.S. and domestic Chinese politics that his administration is failing to confront the EU trade problem seriously?

Italian Defense Minister complaining (for second time) that British aren't sharing technology for GCAP fighter to Italian and Japanese counterparts.

“It’s a huge favor to the Russians and the Chinese,” the Italian Defense minister told Defense
News.

Well of course, "China Bad" is their default discourse when they can't properly share military IP tech amongst each other. They deserve the bullying from US, honestly. China does nothing, gets blamed, wins.

In light of Germany considering GCAP as French refuses to share more work share and IP for FCAS project, I find this quite hilarious. Both GCAP and FCAS appear not as solid and united as portrayed.

Jokes on them because the British doesn't actually have the technology, none of them do.

This remind me of an old joke where 5 old guys who meets up to for wine tasting agreed on their next meeting they'd each bring their best wine the mix it together. All 5 went home and thought they could just bring water and nobody else will know after mixing, so they ended up all drinking water and pretend its the best wine they ever tasted.

The fact that RR is Britain's crown jewel and yet RR is not capable of developing 6th gen engine without partnering with AVIO and IHI answers your question on if Britain has the technology don't you think?
In my opinion, both GCAP and FCAS are just pretending to work hard.

They were originally 5th gen fighter jet programs, and only because of the development of 6th gen fighter jets by China and the US did they have to announce that they were going to develop it.

But in reality, they just don't have such development capability. Now they are just stalling for time in this limbo.
