They should keep the present embassy, which China has been using since the Qing dynasty.
I think China will keep it for embassy's other functions, but probably is too small now for full operation, surely will be many MSS there, like other countries would do in their embassy in China
Current Chinese embassy in London is just too small and old, only less than 1,000m2 and China hold 999 year lease from 1926. I think it is likely used for cultural centre, library, etc
The new sites is massive 20,000m2 and will do everything in one complex. Modern and state of the art with massive 208 underground rooms. It will be fully operational in 2028 with total cost ~$1B
