TCL has purchased Sony’s TV business. I believe Sony was the last major Japanese TV maker still in the business. Now all the major TV manufacturers are Chinese and Korean.

Nah, once the U.S takes Greenland, Canada is next on the menu. Carney is just giving Trump a reason to annex Canada next. Carney's talk of shared values and security between the EU and Canada is a great speech and all, but if the U.S marches into Canada, what can the EU do? Nothing, the EU does not have the force projections and logistics to support and supply Canada since they themselves are militarily, politically, and economically dependent on the U.S. Not to mention, most of Canada's military is supplied by the U.S. In addition, Canada does not allow citizens to own guns, so the best the civilians can do to fight back is throw canola, lumbar, and wood at U.S forces. The U.S invasion of Canada will be like Cortez defeating the Aztecs--so close to the United States, so far from God.

There is no way the United States will absorb Canada and make it part of America.

The reason is just politics.

If Canada becomes a US state or state(s), the Republicans will never win again. It is just the numbers. That is how Canada is. The Republicans will never win again, like permanently.

So the only realistic option for the United States if they want to absorb Canada, is to make it an official colony.

That seems like a stretch. To put it mildly.

Yeah, exactly. Agree completely. This is going to be interesting to watch.

Things are unraveling. It is happening so fast, some people cannot get their stupid puny little heads around it, and say all sorts of gibberish, that make them look completely desperate and drowning in the seas of change.

There was this article in the National Post, a newspaper in downtown Toronto with national reach in Canada.

After PM Carney's electric vehicle deal with China, that newspaper had a story with their Taiwan representative in Toronto, and they gave him the space to say trade with China is bad, and do not trust China.

The representative from Taiwan was saying that.

Like, WTF?

No mention in that article of who is Taiwan's biggest trading partner. Or how many people from Taiwan live on the motherland!

Yet, that is what they published. They think of themselves as a serious newspaper.

Maybe not.

:oops::p

That’s why you need to take care of the resistance fighters first. Once those are done, the rest will be too scared to oppose you.

Oh come on, as if it's an unnsolvable problem.
Since the very birth of greek democracy, democracy is a rule of demos - and demos doesn't have to be everyone. Only those who vote matter. US are certainly not newbies to concepts of "territories".
