Russia might as well just invade NATO at this point, even if only for the heck of it. It’s not like these weak babies are going to do squat anyway.

EU is indeed weak. A strong alliance would not allow the Baltic states to arbitrarily dictate its overall foreign and war policies. An alliance that cannot say no internally is even less likely to say no externally.

Looks like the good people of Europe in general and of Denmark in particular are what Western propaganda — in particular malicious fabrications and vicious exaggerations of oppression, if not genocide against minorities weaponized to justify foreign military interventions — taste and feel like!

The EU is indeed very weak, and Bessent is actually correct when he states that the EU is weak. There is actually no point to having NATO when the U.S fronts the majority of the bill, weapons, and personnel, and Trump wants to dissolve NATO anyway; and what better way to get a collective consensus from the Europeans to acquiesce to his demand than by taking Greenland from the EU. This is a clever move, actually, by the Trump administration to hit two birds with one stone--dissolve NATO and get Greenland from the EU/Denmark
If I were the Russians, I would at this point retake all of Ukraine and march to the Polish border. There is no resemblance of a rules-based order anymore, and we are now transitioning back to an unadulterated power based order--Thrasymachus was corrrect, might makes right-- so why not capitalize on this strategic move by the U.S in Greenland, and secure Russia's borders. The EU is weak anyway, so the weak can suffer as they must, and the strong do as they will.
