It would be a grave mistake to underestimate America's determination to undermine China. For years, the United States has systematically attempted to destabilize China through its actions concerning Taiwan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and the South China Sea. It has engaged in malicious infiltration of China's internet, religious, cultural, and ideological spheres. It has worked to sever China's ties with its neighbors and trading partners. Globally, it has amplified narratives portraying China as a threat and as an evil force. These actions are plain for all to see.
I don't think that there's any doubt about the anti-China agenda. I just don't think that there's any grand plan or really any long term thinking at all. Instead, the US is using tried and true tactics they've honed over the last few decades, and these tactics have largely fallen flat.

Just look at all the "Pivots to Asia" that have been attempted from back in the Obama days to what's happening now. And then look at all the China experts and think tanks and policy makers that shape American policy - how many of them even seem to realize what China is.

Now, is this always going to be the case? Probably not, but the US is going to need some serious rethinking about how they think about geopolitics and about long term strategy before it improves for them.

Thailand suspends truce with Cambodia after troops injured by landmine blast

The government in Thailand says it's suspending the implementation of a peace agreement with Cambodia. The Thai army released images that it says shows two Thai soldiers injured in a landmine explosion. The accord, signed last month along with US President Donald Trump, aimed to secure an end to deadly border clashes that erupted in July. The move will halt the deal's provisions, including the release of 18 Cambodian prisoners - unless Cambodia meets Thailand's unspecified demands. With reporting from journalist Tommy Walker in Bangkok.

"Well, a lot of our allies are not our friends either, our allies took advantage of us on trade a lot more than China did"
- Donald Trump when questioned by Fox about the recent dispute between Japan and China

One wonders how Takaichi is feeling
Alternative source on Twitter:

Trump be like "President Xi and I are good friends and we just had a great meeting, the best. You want me to talk shit about him you're going to have to pay up, and I don't even seen any of that 500 billion from last deal with Japan."

Trump be like, "If you say anything about my best friend, the honorable and venerable President Xi of China, who definitely has equal mutual feelings for me, I'll tariff you 500% everytime you talk and that'll erase our national debt alone; how would you like that, Laura?"

Is the great American plan to restart all the conflict that were happening earlier this year?

Does that mean we will see Israel/Iran again soon?

EU and Japan have really been ramping up anti-China rhetoric lately. It's funny that trump doesn't give a shit lol because he probably knows that China isn't the one who started this shit

Many of the people here have to be taught how to think. Look at them falling for even the most basic propaganda. I find it honestly amusing but their government knew the real danger of having islam uncontrolled within their borders and took action before things got worse, honestly a role model for the rest of the world.
Islam has been in China for more than 1300 years..

Hegseth just met with indian def minister during Trump's APEC meeting in Korea so I imagine that Hegseth with all of his usual diplomatic tact would have told the indians to actually prove themselves worthy of further US help/aid especially after the Sindoor 1 asswhipping and the cynical conspiracy theorist in me says this could be another inside job by BJP to ignite Sindoor 2 without thinking it through and the consequences could be disastrous for everyone there.
Sindoor 2 is expected on both sides of the border. Sindoor 1 result doesn't look good for BJP, specifically it's ultra nationalist and extra-territoreal narrative it's been spewing for the past 20 years. Note also, the West appeared to dissociate from India immediately after Sindoor 1, with a huge hate movement on a public level. India has to get back to it's previous position.

I had mentioned previously that Sindoor 1 was likely instigated by the US (JD Vance strange visit to India shortly before the conflict; dozens of US military cargo flights moving to India from Qatar, and other geopolitical reasons). This was supposed to be a Western testing of India (which it failed miserably, hence the dissociation). The way Trump routinely attacks India, mentioning the downed aircrafts, is imo drawing India into round 2. Destabilize the region, weaken Pakistan, then war with Iran would become a bit easier.

Well consider all that effort Trump went to to get China to start buying soybean again and sell REE, if he starts support those guys those trade talk results would be off immediately. That's real money in Trump's eyes. Unless you pay up hard money Trump's America isn't going to give you security guarantee.

And if Takaichi thinks she can get Trump onside by turning on the sex appeal my response to that would be "have you see what Trump's wife looks like?"
