How come these arrogant South Koreans did not even apply for a work visa? They probably came to the US on a tourist visa instead, thinking they can get away with it, as an important trusted ally. Now, BYD or CATL should move in.
This is not arrogant. South Koreans don't need a Visa to stay for 90 days in the US even for business. Of course there are a myriad of rules to follow, but if the expectation is to leave within that window, no company wants to pay lawyers $500/hr to do immigration consulting for a 6 week job. Now probably there are some delays in the project because that's how things are, now they overstayed that 90 days. It becomes an easy target. Basically like setting a speed camera to catch people going 1 km/h over the speed limit vs. 10 (or whatever the American non metric equivalent is)

Because they didn’t need to.

Atlanta immigration attorney Charles Kuck, who represents four of the detained South Korean nationals, told The Associated Press on Monday that many were doing work that is authorized under the B-1 business visitor visa program. They had planned to be in the U.S. for just a couple of weeks and “never longer than 75 days,” he said.

Russian (Finance Ministry) sees interest from Russian (issuers) in bond placements in China - Deputy Minister

MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - The Russian Finance Ministry sees interest from Russian issuers in placing bonds on the Chinese market, and is discussing this issue, Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said.

"I'll say that this topic is in fact being discussed with our colleagues, with partners. We see interest from Russian issuers, not only Rosatom, but we see interest from other issuers. We are discussing this, how to do it properly, in principle the discussion is ongoing with partners now," Chebeskov told journalists on the sidelines of the conference "Trust as Financial Market Development Factor."

China is preparing to reopen its domestic bond market to major Russian energy companies, primarily from the energy sector, the FT said on Monday. The paper's sources said Chinese financial regulators told top Russian executives at a late August meeting that they would support their companies' plans to sell renminbi "panda bonds" on China's public onshore market.

The FT said Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom and its affiliates were expected to be among the first borrowers to tap the Chinese bond market. A Rosatom spokesperson confirmed plans to issue bonds in China but declined to go into detail.
We see interest from Russian issuers, not only Rosatom, but we see interest from other issuers…. Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said.

As I predicted BRICS once again fails to do anything meaningful. And surprise surprise, India once again is one of the members saying not to fight more.

I don't expect China to be actively hostile against India. But I expect them to be at least smart enough to not trust them in actual policy making and just give them lip service at most. After all lip service is all India gives anyway.

As for Brazil, I never expected much so I'm not even that disappointed really.

With the supreme court ruling, they are likely waiting to see if things get worst or better.

Spain's Rota air force and naval base is a major logistical hub of US military operations in the Mediterranean and Middle East. Although, damage is already done and US still has major bases in Sicily and Chania (Mediterranean Greek island), Rota was at the Mediterranean-Atlantic choke point of Strait of Gibraltar.

After the damage is done and Gaza is no longer habitable, Western governments are becoming sympathetic to Palestine (to pacify their domestic unrest).

The worst part is that some random Karen who couldn’t even pronounce Hyundai properly reported them to ICE and was taken seriously enough for them to detain people.
Hey hey, no one say Karen can't be "patriot". People always say Chinese is loud and rude in public but they forgot Korean(especially arrogant one) is even louder and treat others like they own the Earth. I highly positive is some Karen see those SKorean behaviour in public and thought: sh*t it must be Kim fanatics spy. Let report to police.
