I used to call America's allies its vassals, but now I no longer do. I don't think it's a correct term; vassals have sufficient autonomy to switch allegiances when a more powerful lord comes along. They don't. The accurate term for them is America's grave goods.
You might be unfamiliar with this term so allow me to explain it: When a ruler in antiquity died his property was interred with him so it joined him in the afterlife. In some cultures the definition of property extended to human beings, the king's servants and concubines were either killed and buried or buried alive with his corpse so they would continue their service in the afterlife.
This is their fate. Human grave goods buried alive with America's corpse so they serve their sovereign in the afterlife.
