Holy shit, it's pretty unbelievable but she really is a western spy whose mission is to fuck over the global south. What a freaking sellout.

I'm really curious what is the response amongst the population in Mexico. Is there seriously no pushback at all? In a country that strongly elected a leftist government?

I am actually pleased to see Japan making large investments in India, because they will soon come to understand the saying: "The money you earn in India can only be spent in India—don’t even think about taking a single penny back home." It is worth mentioning that in 2020, India’s net FDI was $43.9 billion, but by the 2024–25 fiscal year, it had fallen to less than $400 million—a drop of 99%. For a country like India, foreign exchange is its lifeline, so I believe India will certainly not let go of Japan, a ready-made money tree that has come knocking. In fact, some Indian think tanks and media have already begun advocating for loosening restrictions on Chinese investments in India. But I genuinely hope China does not fall for this trick. However, it is predictable that some Chinese companies, driven by short-sighted corporate interests, will prioritize gains at the expense of national interests. I hope the Chinese government keeps a close eye on this.

Considering how Trump is threatening military intervention, I'd reckon that they'd tread carefully on trade with China. “Poor Mexico, So Far From God, So Close to the United States.”

How the US achieved this degree of hegemony over Europe, really should be studied. I suspect the way it worked was that the US managed to trick the rest of the West to fully buy into neoliberal philosophy. And once these countries go all in on that, it's very hard to extract themselves from it. Under neoliberalism, the US is the leader, almost no matter what it does so eventually everyone has to fall back in line.

Congrats to whoever came up with the term "rules-based order". It's possibly the most Orwellian phrase I've ever heard. Think of it this way, the paragon of the this order is the US so this means that the proper way to follow the rules would be to do things like bombing random boats in seas nowhere near your own coasts.

Kallas "okay this is something new"actually graduated from a law school without knowing any little bit of who the combatants were in WW2? Perhaps I read too much but I knew the basic facts of WW2 when I was 12-why doesn't she know this being in a position of power?FFS-what a travesty clown show.
