Malaysia still operate their F/A-18s? I thought they replaced them with Su-30MKMs. Being a Malaysian Air Force mechanic must be exhausting.
Yes, they still do. These are still 4th jets anyway, so there is little reason to retire them. Doctrine-wise, the F/A-18s are multi-role with more focus on ground attack missions in mind. The Su-30MKMs are also multi-role, but they tend to be more focused on air-superiority missions.

Lee vows to pursue 3-stage denuclearization plan for N. Korea
President Lee Jae Myung has said he will pursue a three-stage denuclearization plan for North Korea, with Seoul approaching such a strategy via active efforts for dialogue with Pyongyang based on the solid alliance with the United States.
In an interview with Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun ahead of his visit to Tokyo for summit talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, Lee said he will seek to freeze North Korea's nuclear and missile programs in the first stage.

In the second and final stage, Lee said he will seek to reduce and dismantle North Korea's nuclear program, according to a script of the interview provided by the presidential office.

South Korea, while maintaining close coordination with the U.S., will actively pursue inter-Korean dialogue to establish conditions for the goal, Lee told the Japanese newspaper.

India can’t contain or encircle China. Unless someone magically makes the Himalayas mountains disappear. There is a physical barrier between China and India, which deters severe escalation.

You have it backwards. The primary reason India dares to be so bold against China is because it’s counting on the Himalayas to limit Chinese retaliation options and severity.

1962 was such a shock to the Indians not just because how badly the PLA spanked them, but because the PLA could fight in numbers there at all was previously thought impossible to them, and they were genuinely scared the Chinese would continue rolling down and take the whole country.

If someone magicked away the Himalayas, the Indians would roll over cry ‘New Colonial Daddy’ faster than even the PLA could deploy to the border.
