I personally wouldn't give Indian any face saving. However Chinese leadership have immense patience and resistance to emotional reaction in order to win at the end of the day.
Its frustrating to watch even though I kinda get it. It's really not easy keeping your cool like this for such a long period. You want to smash the guy's face in now rather than wait 20 years for him to hang himself after making countless bad decisions.
