Exactly, blocs would favor the status quo, as it always takes more for people to formally change a label than their actual behaviors. For example, a democrat may disagree with the recent DEI pushes, the "zero-dollar shopping" epidemic, etc. and may start espousing more centrist or even conservative views, but it'd take a lot more for him to switch parties.

You're right. So that means that the Jai Hinds are still gonna celebrate that they have the "highest" railway bridge in the world when the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge opens.
Well good for them. It took them more than 20 years to build that Chenab Bridge with only a single rail line. Their ego needed something "world beating" to celebrate. Their next megaproject could be decades away.

The most expensive and critical part of his product is the chainmail part at the bottom. He looked for a US based supplier and the only one he found is too expensive and could supply only 2000 units a month. But he didn't want to use Chinese suppliers so instead he found an Indian supplier. When the "Indian" shipment arrived it turned out to be just drop-shipped items from a Chinese supplier.
Dude spends some time indirectly ranting about almost everything being made in China. He set out on a mission to produce and market a grill scrubber with everything 100% made in USA.
At around 36 mins, he finds out that America still could not produce enough chainmail for his grill scrubbers. So he orders more chainmail from India. He orders them from an Indian dealer. When he receives them, he finds that those chainmails were actually drop-shipped directly from China. So he fumes, barely containing his rage. Lol!
Trying to set out to manufacture things within your own nation is not wrong. That's a good endeavor. But if you're trying to be political about it, then I'm gonna laugh at you when your political message blows up in your face.
And the Chinese libs have the galls to criticize Chinese products like BYD and DJI if there is just one or two components that are not made or designed in China. Guess metallic grills are harder to make than even EUVs…

He also makes the claim that his product is of much higher quality and will last many more years compared to "cheap ones" (China implied) when in fact the whole part that decides the quality, which is the chainmail (the part that gets brushed off and worn out over time) is literally from China. The rest of it is just injection moulded plastic used to hold chainmail in place and a metal handle.
