According to the Chinese Embassy in Sudan: Since May 4th, armed conflict in Sudan has escalated abruptly. Repeated drone strikes in Port Sudan and other areas have led to deteriorating security conditions, sharp increases in risks, and critical shortages of water, electricity, and fuel supplies.

Current Exit Options​

• Port Sudan International Airport: Limited intermittent international flights
• Sawakin Port: Passenger ships available to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
• Land Route: Ashkeit border crossing to Egypt remains open

Embassy Directives​

  1. Safety Measures:
    • Heighten personal security awareness
    • Closely monitor local conditions
  2. Evacuation Advisory:
    • Leave Sudan immediately unless absolutely necessary
    • Maintain mobile communication access
