Well, they could be very correct.
At this point, there does not seem they will be able to win this A.I. race, the best the Americans can hope for is a tie.
There is still this concept of the laws of diminishing returns.
Unless there is some other worldly breakthrough in the A.I. industry, looks like this race will be between bloated software platform and lean mean software platform.

- Purged numerous government officials and removed security details for high profile Americans their dear leader had a grudge against.
- Paused all federal funding, now blocked temporarily by a judge, which had the effect of briefly freezing the nationwide medicaid system endangering thousands of American lives.
- Begun a crackdown on all 2,000,000 Americans employed with the federal government, with the opening salvo being monetary offers to quit their jobs on the spot.
