Goes back to my thesis earlier that Anglo led western society has such antipathy towards Asians and Asian culture that the unspoken message to Asian Americans is to abandon your cultural heritage if you want to get anywhere in Anglo society.

You know with all the whites insulting Chinese and Asians, for some reason they still don't infuriate me as much as Indians a lot of times. I think it's because they have enough confidence they don't need to go to the bottom of the barrow like Indians do. Same applies to Jews who are at least confident enough to know they are Gods chosen and don't need to wewuz as Chinese. Even those cringe asian masculinity subreddits kicked out south asians eventually coz they realized what was happening.
For this reason, maybe in the end Hong Kong has more future than Singapore. After all HKers are mostly just guys from Guangdong and near Fujian. They can still be proud of Guangdong especially since that province is kicking everyone's ass right now. They can eventually be fixed but Singapore cannot.
