So many planes separate officials for safety (they can still talk as these are command posts PU (M1)) but giving them rest options in the rooms. Putin himself landed at 4am. sending people in another country not fully awake itself or some awake and some sleepy not exactly put good impression.
If the concept of "returning from the dead" from movies is actually real, then both Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek would definitely rise from their tombs, travel to Taipei, and raze that Presidential Office to the ground.

It is not just a Russia-China energy trade deal. It is also part of China's mitigation plan for all those Anglo & Indian haters who wet dream of blockading maritime energy trade flows to China. China had stood by Russia and wont allow its friend to starve. Hence, Russia shall also help provide China an energy lifeline in case the Anglo & Indian haters decided to do the unthinkable.

To be fair to the Soviet Union though. The Iron Curtain was a mutual thing in the Cold War. It was the West who started it, just as they have started the Cold War. The post-war Soviet Union was ready to work with the West, but the West rejected it and threaten the Soviets with anti-communist aggression and nukes.
The Americans will continue to hate and suspect the Chinese. They have been doing yellow peril since the 19th century, long before communism appeared in China. The "evil CCP" is their excuse today. Yesterday it was Fu-Manchu. Not too long ago, they were hating everything Japanese. America has deep seated insecurity when seeing any non-white, non-Christian nation rise up to the level of the white-Christian nations. This is the true nature of America, and should be treated as a norm.
