Nothing surprising here.
Elon did what he did because he understand the Indian way of negotiations and doing business. People who had done business with them would know how difficult the whole process can be. He just turned the table.

On the other hand, Elon knows that once the Chinese give an assurance, he has little to worries about. Win win.
The comments section is a riot. A mix of some people who know the real score, some people who get all their info from Gordon Chang/serpentza/that other white Canadian boomer who pretends to be a geopolitical genius, and some angry bitter Indians.

The article reads US is not allowed to land at and takeoff from the base, i.e. soldiers totally stranded. How do they leave then? On foot? Lol
Probably but heck given their weight issues, they can treat this as well a dieting experience maybe. This could help improve their health but still dick move from the USA not to organize their withdrawal

I am sensing that much of the discourse on US deficit and it's massive debt of $35 Trillion has been overblown and overlooked the fact that America is currently running the MMT concept into reality.

This Prof just came out with a very provocative documentary that essentially dispel the supposed and ill informed understanding of US debt and money.

Imagine if her thesis is correct? What's going to stop the US from its wanton spending ergo wanton aggressive actions against enemies and friends alike?

I read "The Deficit Myth" and I agree with its thesis that A government should print as much as money as it needs to without causing "high" inflation. High in quotes because that is an opinioned adjective. So long as inflation stays acceptable, then the source of wealth (i.e. money) is almost inexhaustible. This is obviously fortunate for the US and unfortunate for the ROW.

The trade is suspended but I cannot find out if that includes the oil that goes through Turkiye to Israel.

The Financial Times and the Twitterverse speculate that this move is due to Erdogan’s party having performed markedly worse in March elections than expected, and his inaction on Gaza was a big reason why.
Turkiye in 2023 was only Israel’s #7 trade partner, but its relative importance may have increased of late with Houthi shelling of ships, since Turkiye presumably already conducts a lot of this exchange over land routes.

The irony is Americans could care less about what happens in the world unless it directly affects them yet US politicians find their personal foreign policy experience important enough to lie about it. Remember when Hillary Clinton had zero credentials and desperate to find some to prove the naysayers wrong about her leadership skills where comedian Sinbad called her out on an incident she claimed happened where she said the C-17 she was on took enemy fire? First of all I don't know how that counts as foreign policy experience but if I recall correctly the "incident" took place over Eastern Europe where the C-17 she was on had to do a tight spiral downward to land at a runway to avoid enemy AA. Why was an American comedian there to spoil Hillary's story? He was there to do a show for US troops who were deployed around there. He said there was no enemy fire and the spiral the C-17 took was a standard procedure to avoid enemy AA around hostile territory. Or look at Sarah Palin and Elizabeth Warren. Apparently all you have to do to say you have foreign policy experience is to fly over to Hong Kong and give a speech and that counts as foreign policy experience.

Saying you met with Kim Jong Un would make the news in itself. Like Kristi Noem thought people wouldn't know? But then any dummy in the US can be a high profile politician in the US.

Sorry but that’s just loony toons economics by idiots.

The US has to do the whole dog and pony show of printing money and then lending it to oneself because fiat money only has value when enough people agree it has value.

Printing money in one hand and lending it to the other is not just a puppet show but a means of maintaining financial and monetary credibility by making that printed money a liability (which it is) and imposing a cost (interest) to add some control over how much and how fast money is created.

Without that vital step, if the US government just prints money without any restraint or control like it’s toilet paper then USD will immediately become toilet paper.

The Bible is full of antisemitism.

I'm shocked, shocked, that a Western MSM fabricated the story of Saudi-Israeli rapprochement from thin air!

The dude who declared the total annihilation of China's semiconductor industry is at it again - as though Chinese really care about America's opinion.

I doubt they have more than 0.1% of Austronesian DNA on average.

F-35, nuff said.

RCMP Assistant Commissioner David Teboul affirmed Friday the force’s probe included “investigating connections to the government of India.” He said there are numerous cases still open and they are “certainly not limited to the involvement of the people arrested today.”

Why did I already have an intuition that was the case and virtually generated fiction as usual aiming at domestic sheeple Westoid audience?

For some reason, they have a "pick" for presenting Saudis as their vassals constantly in 2024, despite them already being in BRICS, SCO, and verifiable stuff like this (0.001% coverage in the Western garbage media):

Basically, during the last few years, the US MSM was ordered to go into overdrive with false propaganda and manipulation to prevent the citizens from understanding the real situation outside the US borders, amongst other things, and try to perhaps postpone the collapse of the country in that way.

False economic reporting, false geopolitical reporting, etc.

But a few oldtimer lunatics and imbeciles who write those "pieces" probably truly still think that they are still living in 1990 for example, Saudis are their lapdogs, Russia is collapsing, China is making plastic toys and cheap textiles only, "copies from them" everything, Vietnam is their lapdog in SEA, and other random completely neutral countries, they have gazillion "allies" around the world, etc.

They are everything they accuse, China, Russia, and Iran, of nowadays, in terms of being "dictatorships".

Every mainstream media and social media is run by the government (intelligence sector).

False reports, misleading data, no free speech anymore (now passed as law over Israel), etc,

Sending military-style force onto students who protest against genocide, persecution of non-establishment ideologies & opinions, etc.

I think this is the case for all other equipment and branches more or less. Look at this sad reality:
