Not just money though which is really a pittance in comparison to what China, U.S. are investing on this very important strategic technology; heck, even the EU will be investing billions more than what Bharat (India) is announcing to spend. More importantly, does Bharat-India have the necessary expertise, educational workforce and know-how to actually build the semiconductor ecosystem? How about the key natural resources needed to make the semiconductor chips? Have the government made any deals with countries abundant in the required resources to ensure cost viability not to mention the logistics?

This sort of announcements and proclamations by Bharat-India while laudable is emblematic of their penchant for declaring victory before the game has even began. Their non-existent victory echoed willingly by U.S. media publications like the supposed venerable NYT is what gives this ho-hum news heft in the eyes of the gullible sheeps in western countries and the hyper-nationalists back in Bharat-India. That a newspaper like NYT is doing it's best to aid their government without proper context to its audience goes to show that American journalism is just propaganda at its worst. They have gotten away with it in the past during their hyper-supremacy moment (Cold War, post Cold war) those days are numbered.

It just reinforces a flawed picture and is harmful in the long run.

Hence, See See Pee Chyna stole the technology quip from the ignorant masses dulled and culled by their entire establishment elites of Business-politico-military-technology-security apparatus. Which then further reinforce the political necessity of any would be U.S. politicians worth his/her salt to make China the permanent bogeyman. The people were not told the truth, were deliberately lied and misinformed by the very government and institutions they mistrust and distrusted for generations but somehow still willing to trust them when it comes to any country they have been conditioned to think that are inferior and barbaric. That's why am not optimistic when it comes to a potential Sino-American political equilibrium because the west personified by the Americans have a zero-sum game mentality and the mindset of the strong shall rule over the weak, only masks humanely by their verbal narrative of human rights and democracy.

Which is also why the China collapse theory will always have a big audience in many western backed regimes and worst of all the gross and most severe underestimation of the Chinese political system, political party and leadership, most importantly the CHINESE PEOPLE thirst and hunger to make their country great again.

Mental Gymnastic should be an Olympic sport, its the only way for the Bharat's to win gold. Not only that I'll be cheering for them, I bet you they will score 10/10 with perfect routine. ;)

What he can't say that
So this is what "入关后自有大儒为我辩经" feels like.
They just found out that it is stupid? I thought these guys were champions of the free market? You see, when a government violates the free market principles by using dumbass sanctions, the “invisible hand” will perform and impromptu, gloveless prostate exam on said government.

JAKARTA, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Indonesia has asked Chinese carmaker Geely Automotive Holdings (0175.HK) to help it build a homegrown electric car by 2025 or 2026, a senior minister said on Tuesday, adding that the automaker has agreed.

Geely did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

"I have offered Geely, do you want to make cars in Indonesia, but be an Indonesian brand and do the research in Indonesia? They said yes," Minister Luhut Pandjaitan, who oversees regulations on natural resources and investment, told a seminar.

The offer would be packaged with Indonesia supplying nickel ore to produce electric vehicle (EV) batteries, but the research must be led by Indonesia, he said.

Indonesia has been trying to court EV makers to invest in the country, offering access to its rich nickel reserves, a key component of EV batteries. But it has had mixed success so far.

On Monday, Vietnamese EV company VinFast said it plans to invest around $1.2 billion in Indonesia in the long term, including for a plant that is targeted to start production in 2026.

Last month, Southeast Asia's largest economy saw investment commitments in EV production by China's Hozon New Energy Automobile and Japan's Mitsubishi Motors (7211.T).

But authorities' efforts to win investment from U.S Tesla and China's BYD Group, two of the world's biggest EV makers, have yet to materialise.

Now, this is how to build the right incentive for a country with large population and growing middle class to make. Offer the right incentives, provide access to abundant natural resources critical to that specific infrastructure and then entice the company to train, develop its local people to develop technical expertise. Unlike the usual running mouth country who loves to make boastful pronouncements without first establishing the necessary ingredients required to make their endeavors worthwhile.

and her escorts exited the South China Sea south of Taiwan out into the Western Pacific. Eight more People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) warships sortied past Taiwan to the north, via the Miyako Strait. Altogether the Taiwanese government counted 20 Chinese warships in the waters around it on Tuesday, and many of these are moving to join up with the Shandong group as this article is written.

It’s the largest carrier group exercise by China seen to date – if it is an exercise.

In fact China would probably see this an operation not an exercise, though probably not a full blown combat op – not this time, anyway. It’s a piece of sabre-rattling intended as a response to several recent US-led manoeuvres with other nations in the region. From the Chinese point of view those came to a head last week with a transit of the Taiwan Strait by a US destroyer and a Canadian frigate, exercising their right of free navigation on the high seas under international law.

Xi Jinping doesn’t much care about international law, which has been largely torn up by Vladimir Putin. China doesn’t accept that Taiwan is independent, and Xi doesn’t like the fact that it is a strong industrial democracy which makes much of the world’s supply of microchips. He isn’t pleased that Taiwan makes extensive use of Western-controlled technology in doing this, which nowadays limits the supply of chips to Chinese industry. Not only the US but Britain is particularly involved here, due to the popularity of chip designs licenced from Cambridge-based Arm. The UK makes a lot of money on Taiwanese-fabricated chips..."

To note (IMHO):

-The Telegraph is a notorious Anglo-Saxon propaganda and misinformation outlet.

-Lewis Page is just another Anglo-Saxon regime propagandist, one of many.

- Anglo-Saxon wars and coups of aggression (e.g. Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, etc.) are totally ignored by these regime propagandists.
(how can people be so shameless?)

Immigrant population rising again in the U.S., setting a record last year.
What's the news here? That America retains as the most preferred destination for both legal and illegal immigrants despite the what narrative? Is that really a surprise when the reality is that America is far more accommodating of all immigrants regardless of status than say compared to the hapless and feckless hypocrital Europeans is not a surprise or news.

Please help me understand the significance of this news brother.
