Karens v Aquamayne — Dawn of Folding Chair.
Seems that times are rapidly going into a stage of complete melt down…. For this so called nation of freedom. Seriously, they should have gotten the police to handle this, if this was a normal country but then again this nation is not only not normal but it seems to thrive on the deaths of anyone none white. Somehow, if the leadership institutes the purge protocol, I will not be surprised if at that moment, the nation of the USA is well and truly finished. This isn’t comedy though, this should horrify anyone with a heart though then again, do the leadership in Washington actually have one

I.e. The ultimate guide to "How to provide sh1tty working environments to Japanese animators and pay them like slaves, forcing them to work with Chynese anime production companies in Chyna with better working environment and higher salaries, then moan about it when Chyna overtook us in the anime market".

Just so you know, 200-250 thousand yen is the average starting full-time salary for fresh university graduates in Japan. So less than 100 thousand yen per month is practically slavery, especially in Japanese cities.

Seriously though, when can we see Godzillas getting struck with DF-17s and YJ-21s while marching towards Yokohama/Shanghai?
Well, tencent is seriously investing into donghua (Chinese animation). Yesterday, tencent annual animation conference happened and there are plenty of interesting upcoming show. The irony is, tencent in the past (mid 2010) wanted to cooperate with japanese animation company and production company (sino japanese cooperation) but the project failed because numerous reason and theory. Beside tencent, bilibili also invest in donghua and IQIYI recently started to invest in donghua.
As for the reason, i find an interesting comment on donghua reddit on why tencent want to invest so much in animation. Here's the comment by u/BestSun4804:
"I think Tencent definitely has a lot of interest in donghua. Drama production budget is high and a lot of the budget is actually due to ridiculous high payment for actors."
Another thing is a lot of Chinese novels are very long, if adapt into drama, it would take a lot of seasons and the actors will stuck onto the project for years. Chinese actors doesn't want to bind with a project contract for too long, effecting their other works, especially if they are not playing the main role. This is a huge problem."
"Communicating with the actors to arrange the time available to gather and filming is a challenge, hence most drama adaption content are in very fast pacing, it feel like just a go through of the content and can be very chaotic/ messy with a lot of changes made."

China: short period of moderate violence. (couple month and tens of thousands killed)

USA: long period of extreme violence. (a decade and millions killed)

Math don't work there.

The Math does add up this way:
USA: long period of extreme violence. (a decade and millions killed)
Vietnam won that war. It was a happy victory. To the Vietnamese, the US is kinda like that "defeated opponent bro" now. "We can be good friends now, because I have kicked your ass before, just like the French before you."

Despite Vietnam and the West claiming that they had "won" that 1979 war. Vietnam had sustained more casualties than China, and had nearly 7 times more POWs captured by China. BTW to the Vietnamese and the Chinese, that war didn't end in 1979. It actually shifted phase, and continued until 1991. That's about 12 years, so it was also a long conflict. At the end of that conflict, Vietnam had ceded disputed land territories to China, and failed to recapture disputed maritime territories from China. It was an interesting "victory" indeed. So much so that China cannot become Vietnam's "defeated opponent bro", because despite "winning", Vietnam had lost territories, and prestige to a supposedly inferior enemy.

Vietnam had also been dominated several times by China over the last 1000 years, with each time lasting a few hundred years from memory, so the overall conflict goes way back.

Culturally they are also a close derivative of Chinese culture, so like the Koreans, there is the aspect of "the foundation you're standing on, is actually owned by us (China)".

At last! Now that we understand Rika's connection to Bernkastel, what the Witch's Game is and how it is played, what the Metaverse and Sea of Fragments are, what a Game Board and Pieces are, and have a bit of context regarding the events during the October 4th-5th, 1986 on Rokkenjima Island... the final piece of your profane ignorance can be torn apart and discarded for <

To start, there are technically two Furudo Erikas in Umineko - the Game Piece/Detective Erika and the Metaverse/Witch of Truth Erika.

After the events of the 4th Episode, and as the game transitions from Rondo of the Witch and Reasoning (Question arcs) to Nocturne of Truth and Illusions (Answer arcs) - Beato is no longer the Game Master, and the game is no longer about Battler and Beato/Beatrice. You see, Bernkastel is very easily bored, so she and LambdaDelta - Witch of Certainty (who I am 2 lazy to cover, but she's basically Satoko's Bern counterpart, and is the manifestation of Satoko's will to trap Rika in a Game Board in order to never have to part ways) wander from Fragment to Fragment observing the events and playing The Witch's Game with unsuspecting humans for fun.

Unfortunately for Battler et al. - Bern and Lambda happened upon this Game Board while Beato was the Game Master, and with her... suddenly unable to fill that position, Bernkastel takes over as Game Master. However, unlike Beato's games, Bern has no deeper motive or purpose behind the stories she waves, and couldn't care less about how closely her "Truth" conforms to the Single Truth as long as she wins. So, where Beato's games had everybody acting the way they would have in reality, and her Game Boards only contained pieces that were actually present during the events - Bernkastel's game is set up purely to stack the odds against her opponent, and to destroy Beato's "Truth" in the process.

To that end, there happens to be a very spoiler factor which - in lieu of a certain character being present - opens up a "vacant" spot for somebody to have been on the island during the massacre. Bernkastel uses this opportunity to create her own "Piece" to put on the Game Board and to act as the Detective. Her piece is, as you can likely guess, our beloved Furudo Erika!

Created as a "self-insert" for Bernkastel, sharing an unmistakable resemblance, she is a being designed from inception to most effectively rip and tear into others' secrets and False "Truth," and to expose the falsehoods within them!

Assorted examples of her making this very very clear:

On the Game Board, her "Piece" is introduced as a passenger who fell overboard from the pleasure boat "Eternal Maid II" and washed up on the shore of Rokkenjima. As she is the Detective, she is naturally well received and welcomed into the Ushiromiya Mansion as a guest until the storm passes and she can head home. While dining together, she reveals her

, and impresses the Ushiromiya Family with her charisma, charm and manners!

Her Metaverse self simply instantiates when Bernkastel creates her, so she doesn't have much additional backstory here - but she is deeply loyal to Bernkastel as her Master (despite being deeply

by her).

Beyond this, I will allow the wiki to describe her personality, as I believe it would be a conflict of interest for me to attempt an objective summary of my BELOVED Erika's traits:

She has

(I remain unsure of which brand... maybe one day one of the manufacturers will put "Erika Approved" so I'll know), and on more than one occasion

Another example of unconventional Crime Scene Investigation is when, as morning breaks, those in the Guest House make their way to the Mansion and realize all the adults had been killed (omg!!). Naturally, as an outsider, Erika isn't very welcome to meander around where the others' family members had just been killed, but after invoking her Detective's Authority (remember, the Detective cannot be stopped from investigating!), she goes room to room checking everything out.

, so we later find out that -

(but left the rest of them where they were!) and threw them in the Ocean. Very reasonable!

Her other hobbies include:
After thoroughly dunking on and outwitting everybody else, and managing to construct an unassailable truth in a single Fragment - she is recognized as more than just a Piece, and is bestowed the title of Furudo Erika - Witch of Truth.

Truly, she is far above a mere Voyager Witch like Bernkastel... and CERTAINLY above an elemental uwutist like Rika!

So, unless I forgor something, I think that's all the context you would ever ever want ever for why your statement, even if sarcasm, is detestable!!! to insult a kreatur defined as the distilled, physical form of the values i hold dear, u may as well be insulting me!!! how rude!!

but anyhow im bored, so have a couple more erikas before i go find some other carpal-tunnel-inducing prompt to reply to (or fall asleep in front of)

Never forget! She's always with you as long as you don't stop investigating!!

Ummm... sorry for interrupting, but what does thus have to do with the topic of the thread? Really appreciate all the other commentary you've made though.

I doubt think that guy understands what air quotes are for.
