China: short period of moderate violence. (couple month and tens of thousands killed)

USA: long period of extreme violence. (a decade and millions killed)

Math don't work there.
It’s more that familiarity breeds contempt. The more that someone you dislike is similar to you the more often you try to distance yourself from them. This is done by focusing on differences instead of similarities to show individuality and to spite the other side.

Happens to people all the time like mom with daughters or fathers and sons disliking a younger versions of themselves. Or in the case of other East Asian countries rebellious daughter trying to escape from their father’s shadow or emotional immaturity from past shame of association I.E. daddy’s issues and so tries to sleep with as many “superior” men to show him whose boss! That’s why they’re whoring themselves to the West.

You have misinterpreted the fundamentals of why these cultures are like they are.

It doesn't matter to them what is familiar or not familiar. What these people always want is a "strong, guiding hand", whoever provides them with that, will have their adoration.

It's the twisted mentality of those that never grew beyond primitive authoritarian civilizations, or only aped surface traits from more advanced civilizations while not changing in their core mentality. That is what makes them so easily colonized, because they don't have a loyalty to ideals or the group, only loyalty to whoever has power.

To these cultures, giving them independence and freedom means you're weak, while abusing them and showing off your authority in vulgar ways proves that you're a strong patriarch worthy of being looked up to.

Vietnam and Japan are examples of cultural groups outside China with this mentality. Tibetans and Uyghurs are examples of cultural groups inside China with this mentality. Why do the latter groups love China and the former groups love America? Because China clamped down hard on the latter groups, while America did the same on the latter.

The key to making them like you is as simple as that.

I'm not saying that China should perpetually abuse and exploit these peoples like the west does, even if doing so would certainly make these peoples love China. China can do better than that, they can reeducate them into dropping backwards thinking and throwing off the shackles of colonialism permanently. But first, they need to be totally controlled, because otherwise they won't listen, and conversely, they will listen to anyone with any message, as long as that entity flaunts their authority.

Vietnam and China have fought numerous wars since antiquity, or at least that's the narrative the government loves to feed the Vietnamese people. The cultural roots run deep, since close to 80% of Vietnamese names and vocabulary are derived from Chinese, plus I think Vietnam's always been the biggest consumer of C-Dramas outside of China. But the 1979 war combined with that historical animosity stemming from ancient history runs deep.

Colonial and imperial Western countries are running out of places to exploit as many young Asians refuse to be slave labors. Many African nations don't have the infrastructure and not stable enough to be a manufacturing hub. Sadly, Ethiopia used to be successful in attracting factory investment.

Young Asians would prefer gig jobs than factory jobs. But the most important thing is underpay and treatment, most service jobs have better pays and less stressful. Beside, being a maid in East Asia or Singapore would earn you much more.

As for bringing jobs back to the US, most US factories have even greater difficulty in finding workers. Just look at those states that change laws to allow child slave labors.

In the past, manufacturers might simply have moved to less expensive destinations. That’s not so easy these days. There are nations in Africa and South Asia with large labor pools, but many are politically unstable, or lack good infrastructure and trained workforces.

Clothing brands were stung when they expanded into Myanmar and Ethiopia, only to find

. But even in India, factory managers are beginning to complain about the difficulties of retaining young workers. Many young people prefer farm life supported by state welfare programs or choose gig work in cities over living in factory dormitories in industrial hubs. Trained engineers leave factories for IT jobs.

Christina Chen, the Taiwanese owner of a furniture maker that sells to American retailers such as Lowe’s, decided to move her factory out of southern China four years ago, hoping it would be easier to recruit. She first considered industrial zones near Ho Chi Minh City, but she heard nightmarish stories about high worker turnover and soaring wages.

She set up instead in rural northern Vietnam. Her floor workers are typically in their 40s and 50s, and some can’t read well, she said, which requires explaining tasks verbally and using visual demonstrations. But her workforce is more stable, she said.

She treasures her younger employees who can read. She involves them in decision-making, invites them to meet her American buyers when they visit, and shares pictures with them of the company’s tables and chairs in U.S. stores.(Is this Taiwanese lady retarded? Meeting with American buyers mean nothing. Better pay them more.)
