The US had made it's choice. It wants more Indian CEOs and professionals over Chinese scientists. Enjoy this, Uncle Sam!

Why? Just because they're overseas Chinese? Wouldn't majority of subscribers here fall under that category?Hanjian and spawn of hanjian got second prize, but sure.
If you didn't know India has actually has a low fertily rate for its development level. So eventhough per capita wise its roughly the same or even some years behind Nigeria per capita gdp wise depending on the exchange rate its already technically an older country.Nah, India is worse. They have nothing going for them aside from the sheer population size but that alone is not enough, it can actually transform into a grave burden if they don't take advantage of the population boom (the window is rapidly closing).
I'll acknowledge that achievement when Indian achieves it. But I'll never congratulate India. They maybe able to land on the south pole of the moon which is a first in the world if the feat is accomplished. That's something they (India) can proudly brag about and if they succeed ought to be commended.
China is not only the top of Asia. China IS Asia. All other countries is just satelites of the the middle kingdom. Korea and Japan is cheap copy of the Ming and the Tang dynasty. India for most of history was never a country. China is the only country in Asia that can rival and surpass the west, although some countries like Vietnam or Japan will not like the day when their western masters being surpassed by China.Japan's peak of power was in the 1940's before it was bashed into submission by the Allies. Even though Japan's economy grew rapidly from the 50's to the 80's, militarily and diplomatically it was shackled to the US by virtue of 50k US troops on Japan's soil. As long as these troops remained on Japanese soil, Japan could not become a power militarily or diplomatically.
Furthermore, in history Japan only became a great power in the 19th and 20th centuries. Apart from a failed invasion of Korea during the 16th century, Japan otherwise tended to be an isolationist, inward looking country. It should come as no surprise then that the current Japan is converging back to this state in the next 30 years.
In contrast, China has been the top dog of Asia for a very, very long time. It's weakness during the 19th and 20th century is an anomaly, not the norm. We shouldn't be surprised that China is converging back to it's status before the industrial revolution: top dog of Asia.
China had an even lower fertility rate for its development level in 1990. Of course, this wasn't natural, it was because of the one child policy, but I wouldn't write India off because of that.If you didn't know India has actually has a low fertily rate for its development level. So eventhough per capita wise its roughly the same or even some years behind Nigeria per capita gdp wise depending on the exchange rate its already technically an older country.
India will grow into the world's 3rd largest economy and that standing will allow it to act as a great power just based on its size alone. But India becoming a fully developed nation with a high standard of living outside of Delhi and Mumbai is kind of out of the question imo.
Saudi itself want to increase there population to 50+ million. do they have more wealth but there standard of living is also higher. i would think population further north will make space for more people. On Egypt, their Land just can't handle 50+ Million people, they live in a literal desert and the only life line is that one river which is already way to strained by upstream nations, the 200+ millionen egyptians will be the next self made human catastrophe. That plus their Mufti lot is not better than the indiot gurus, brainwashing their people into submission.
It gets even better, germany is on its way to become a new egypt.
What improving? If anything, it's all actually regressing since the start of the Modi-era.Instead, I'd write India off because they have seriously failed on creating a strong business environment, competent industrial policy, and quality education system. To be fair, they're improving. But the question is, is it fast enough.
