This Russia media put everything on ISIS. but its various Muslims both internal and external that are reacting to a new state where Arabs will get permanent dominance in Islam. for that to happen Uzbek in Uzbekistan and Pushtun in Afghanistan have to be elevated. obviously there other minorities. just give you historic perspective. when that Tashkent Earthquake happened in 1966 not only was it rebuilt with new seismic codes quickly but Uzbek were settled in various republics. and its all due to who were inside Russia. Not sure if this is conditioning or the natural development of a people who discarded morals decades ago. Under their delusion of "freedom", restraint of any kind is an antagonist which is gradually abandoned with time; what separates man from animal is being abolished, leaving behind only the animal who operates on primitive biological functions.
Religion is one driving factor of morals but if the religion is technically flawed on a basis of logic, then by the proliferation of education, the religion itself is questioned and abandoned.. which is what has been happening in the Western world since the Renaissance. The predominant religion in the Western world was Christianity and it was it's peak when education was restricted to clergy, study of science and philosophy by anyone else was punishable by death (the dark age of Europe).
With nothing else remaining to dictate morals, former statutes become "archaic" and obsolete. The transition and the logic is quite laughable too. For example, in many European countries, incest between siblings was made permissible by law, but marriage between them is not.

I hear during the 1979 Siege of Mecca's Grand Mosque, the extremely competent Saudi forces dropped grenades to target the rebels but ended up killing a multitude of hostages. It turned out that the Saudis were over-competent for the job and had to then contract French GIGN forces to finish the work. I can't imagine anybody even seizing the holiest of holy sites in the world, especially one guarded by the extremely competent Saudis.
