Look at the International Sniper competition that takes place in Europe where China wins and it was accused of cheating. How do you cheat in a sniper competition that you don't run? It was implied that China pressured and/or paid off officials...
I’m ok with Europeans saying Chinese cheated at a sniper competition so long as Chinese snipers kill more nato soldiers.

When you want to introduce a new policy/law, you have to consider the methods to enforce them.

Are you going to stop someone from leaving mainland if he/she has an American study visa? That’s the only way to prevent that person from getting to the US because he/she can go to HK or other third countries first before flying to the US.
Restrictions like these is exactly how you get spies. I'm sure there are proper measures that the CPC can implement to protect the Chinese people, without taking away their right to move around the world freely.

Julian Assange has struck a plea deal and is about to be set free this week. Unfortunately, he is pleading guilty to violating the Espionage Act and that will be a problem for journalism going forward.

Great news, but I hope he guards himself at all times. You could not be too sure with the US and their allies' three-letter agencies.
He's apparently going back to Australia - was hoping he'd go to Russia instead

Just add regulations screening out holders of certain degrees from certain universities as ineligible for employment in X industry. This will effectively funnel them into certain industries where they will either be (a) harmless or (b) vetted for eligibility, thus screening out the least appropriate candidates.

Happy for him, i hope he will be able to make a full recovery, unlike Chelsea Manning who was MKULTRA'd to becoming Winston from 1984 in transvestite form. The Anglos have a penchant for torture and using Ivy League psychologists to assist in torture.
