I don't know why, but I find it hilarious that Oklahoma City is going to have the TALLEST (1,907!!! ft.) building in North America! Just not a place I expect a supertall skyscraper to built... at all lol

I expect only those 3 lower highrises and podium get built in "phase 1" then the project put on hold.

I’m no military strategist. Can someone more informed tell me why it’s “delusional”. It makes sense they going to leverage drones and dispersion to counter China’s advantage in missiles.
Where will the US launch those drones from? Cheap = short range, Expensive = long range. If the drones are cheap, the drone base has to be near by where PLA can hit them before launch. If the drones are expensive, how many can the US afford to build? Definitely not thousands.

I kind of just want to see it built to see what the contrast between it and the other buildings would look like? I don't know if any other city would have such a disparity in building height.

In that case it just becomes a real life Simpsons monorail.
Not extreme, but something like this instantly reminds me of my city's cross-lake neighbour of Buffalo
The Marine Midland/HSBC/One Seneca building was the tallest building in Buffalo, and after HSBC downsized they had a lot of vacancy issues.

I think the Turkish fm went to China to talk about this. It is fine if Turkey wants to shut their markets to imports, Chinese companies are allowed and infact are being encouraged by the leaders to setup factories. Turks gets jobs, China gets profits, its win win
About same number of Chinese loose their jobs. Large portion of the profit will not go back to China. I don't see how that is a win for China.

I am fine with countries to protect their own domestic industry by tariff barriers, China did that too not long ago, but Turkey or any other countries doing this can not be seen as a win from China's position. A true win-win would have been Turkey exporting more valuable things to China to balance out the import from China WITHOUT heafty tariff involved.
