Funny article; too long to read the whole thing. After I got half way through, I skipped to the conclusion and saw that the title question of what America wants from China, was never answered. And I thought, how American this bullshit level is.

This article is actually a response written to another article debating it on how American can win the competition with China. They will never step away to see the big picture that they are basically 50 baboons trying different ways to fit 10 gallons of water into a 1 gallon bucket.

The real question they should be asking is, "Why should America win? Why should a country of 330M liberal arts majors and frat boys win against a country of 1.4B STEM majors and Math Olympiad champions?" The answer is it shouldn't and it can't. The next question is how to best simmer down and behave in hopes the new world can forget about all the horrible things America did during its time on top.

If one random PH person getting killed is going to lead to World War 3 between US and China, that random guy will be even more famous history than Archduke Ferdinand. Its funny Marcos is also named Ferdinand and now he wants to create another similar character.
