It ain't that easy to diversify rare earth production after all lol
"You’re ten years away from even coming close to having a fully diversified supply chain. To open a mine is not like building a factory. To open a mine can take three to four years of planning, then permits for two years and another three years if everything goes smoothly, which it rarely does, then two years to build. You’ve already spent eight years before you’ve even started production.”
It's these little things that US policymakers don't really think about, because the US no longer selects for intelligence, but rather inane shit like if you got übermensch genes ie new englander whelp or slavish coloured folk pets. They don't want to admit that China has an edge in the technology to mine and process rare earths as well
One day US will come out with some law to negate all Chinese IP.
Look at all the rare earths miners on wall street today, or even here in Australia; they do well on news but they'll never be profitable because the market ie the public are largely ignorant on rare earth mining.
