@KYli from my experience The catholic church and the Christian evangelist may not be a cult but practice the same strategy. Their influence start early from the day you were born (baptismal) until the last day of your life (holding a funeral wake). Such is their hold in our life that it blur the lines between faith and gov't policy. Any disagreement and push back the Church may declare you blasphemous and incommunicable

As opposed to just not bothering to report it which what usually happens. Has anti-Asian racism never happened before these latest incidents that got national attention? And the media reporting that during a TV broadcast in China on Chinese New Year festivities that there were Chinese in black face wasn't about taking attention off of Western racism?
There's a stereotype regarding young people in the work place that minorities are unruly while white kids are saintly dutiful at work. My experience that's not the case. Young white workers I've seen are more likely to horse around and play with customer's food for fun. I see white kids more involved in social situations while at work like flirting around with the opposite gender co-worker and customers. I was at a Chicago Pizza restaurant where if you have a take-out order to pick-up, you have to go to the back of the restaurant where the register is. It was an easy shot straight down an isle they had separate to the indoor dining area... unless two workers of the opposite sex are flirting with one another in the middle of it. I stopped right where they were at and waited for them to move out of my way. They didn't. They saw I was there and ignored me. I could go weaving through the dining area out of my way but instead I just plowed through them like they were double swinging doors. They were upset at my rudeness. I'm the offender. Tell that to their boss blocking customers from paying their food they ordered that goes to pay their salary. Another time back when there were video stores, I rented a video and I returned it when I was suppose to but when I did I could see again the guy at the counter flirting with some girl. So when I handed the tape to him his attention was on the girl and he just took the video and tossed is aside to a pile of videos. I sensed something bad. So a week later I hear a call on my answering machine from the video store saying the video I rented was late and the guy was rude saying I should stop masturbating to the female star of the movie and return the tape. So I go to the video store with recording in hand and it was the same kid that took the tape I returned and left the message on my answering machine. So apparently the same kid didn't even bother scanning the tape I return to know it was back. It was on the shelf where it belonged. Then I demanded to see the manager. The kid knew without me saying exactly what I was there for and he was apologizing profusely so he doesn't get fired. The manager wasn't there and I went back a few times more in later days and always the same kid was alone running the video store. I even called to speak to the manager and it was the same kid able to prevent the inevitable. These kinds of prejudices are why people get away with it.
A lot of these attacks are young people attacking elderly Asians with a heartless joy to when they do it. Not because of the sociopathic cruelness that young people think there's nothing wrong with attacking elderly, it is also because a lot of the attackers are not white is why they're even reporting it. There's an Asian family in Southern California continually being racially harassed by high school white kids at their home. You don't see a lot of news on that and especially pictures of the criminals. So complain about how race isn't being identified because they're not white but that's probably also the reason for not reporting when they are white. Regarding the incident where actress Olivia Munn's friend's mother was attacked in New York. It was a white guy and I read a comment I hear a lot when there's caught on tape video of a white guy being the attacker in anything which is, "I want to hear what the victim said before the (white) man attacked" as if that was an excuse where a 36 year old man could attack an elderly Asian women. She could've cut him with some nasty comments and still that's no excuse to throw her down on her head like he did. Take a look how they excuse themselves of the rudeness they accuse upon others.
I'm not making any excuses for those non-whites to attack Asians either. That's why I've been advocating vigilante style justice on any racist attacker right there and then. That's the only justice Asians will have. Everything else is going to be water-down for political reasons. The system doesn't work for Asians from the right or the left, Republican or Democrat. Even liberals who believe they're so intellectual and morally superior... when it comes to minority versus minority, they don't call for peace or conflict resolution between minorities. They always pick a side and Asians usually lose out unless the minority attacking the Asian has recently offended those that are in power. Asians then only get their way by default. So do you think it matters what race is being identified or not? They're just trying to pit others against one another to deflect away from themselves.
I was watching this right-wing channel on YouTube and the host was defending actress Gina Carano who was fired from the Star Wars universe for saying that Republicans are equivalent to Jews in WWII being persecuted and attacked on the streets by civilians caught up in anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda. Well this same host also railed against the Asian actor who co-starred with Clint Eastwood in his movie El Camino because he dared to speak out against all the attacks on Asians going on. So are we seeing Republicans being attacked and killed on the streets to claim they're like the Jews being persecuted by Nazi sympathizers during WWII? But when Asians are actually being attacked and killed on the streets and Republicans are not, somehow that's not as serious or the same...

China Rips Murdoch’s News Corp. for Reports on Pandemic Origins

A Chinese diplomat has used a speech delivered to business leaders in Canberra to criticize Australian-born Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. for its reporting on the pandemic’s origins.
News Corp. had “claimed that the virus must leak from a biological institute from Wuhan,” Wang Xining said at the Australia China Business Council event, according to a transcript posted on the Chinese embassy’s website. The speech delivered by Beijing’s deputy head of mission in Canberra was titled, “It Is So Difficult to be China’s Friends in Australia Today.”
A separate Chinese-language version of the remarks posted on the website described Australians working to damage ties between Beijing and Canberra as “scum.”
The speech shows that Chinese officials are yet to forgive Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s government for leading calls for independent investigators to be allowed into the central Chinese city to probe the coronavirus outbreak. That’s led to a series of trade reprisals against Australian goods including coal, wine and barley. Beijing has also accused Australia of being a U.S. puppet.
In November, the embassy gave media outlets a list of 14 grievances it said Australia needed to address so relations could be repaired. It cited the rejection of Chinese investment on national security grounds and “incessant wanton interference” in Chinese affairs regarding Taiwan, Hong Kong and Xinjiang. China also complained about the government providing funding to what it sees as an anti-China think tank.
The speech appears to be part of a concerted push by Chinese diplomats and state media against foreign news sources. Hu Xijin, the editor of the Communist Party’s Global Times, said in an opinion piece on Tuesday that “the overall coverage of China in the Western media reports is biased and even false.”
Wang also complained people were using “fabricated arguments” to squander “the hard-won product of the majority of the Australian labor force.” He added that some Australians are choosing to make enemies to earn a living.
“Those who deliberately vilify China and sabotage the friendship between our two countries and do damage to our long-term friendship and benefits out of their sectoral or selfish interest will be cast aside in history,” he said. “Their children will be ashamed of mentioning their names.”

There was a documentary on US election interference I saw that it actually charged that the anti-Biden stance of Jimmy Lai's media company is a mainland China propaganda operation even though Jimmy Lai is anti-China. It's makes me wonder if people who make documentaries like these blindly lump all Chinese together as in typical racism. The Falun Gong hate the Chinese government but it's just all Chinese when they do something they don't like against them. But when the Falun Gong do something against China, all of the sudden they must be protected. There's no critical thinking there. All Chinese are the same. So if there's ever a demonization of the Epoch Times, it's going to be from an anti-Chinese racist position from the left.
