T

TBF Vivek said something along those lines last year. Basically US would defend Taiwan until US could onshore advanced chip manufacturing, then TW was on its own.
That's probably the most honest you're going to get out of a US politician these days.

US only likes wars it can win fast in epic style like you see in Hollywood. They hate wars that are boring, grindy and have months of doing nothing like shown in jarhead. As they start seeing more guys come home in bodybags, they quickly lose their enthusiasm. Even though there are technically no US troops actively fighting in Ukraine, they got mercs and trainers there who are being blown up by missiles so you don't even get bodies back. That is taking a toll on American enthusiasm. There are a lot of alt righters who subscribe to ideas of Gonzalo Lira and seeing an American die like a dog in Ukraine makes them feel wronged.

If they're so innovative why do they need to steal from Chinese companies?

Americans are missing the forest for the trees. The most important isn't what trinkets that China can make, it's the people, the brains behind the production, who will always be able to invent new things.

If US is ready to open their market in perpetuity to fair competition, China should let them recieve designs from TSMC, Huawei, anything they wish really. As long as the markets are open in a fair way, China will naturally dominate.

The west was never about free trade or markets. It's easy to claim you are after you've climbed up the ladder and knocked it down so no one else can get up.

People wonder why do brits make shitty products these days? Actually they always did which is why the Qing dynasty didn't buy much from them. But brits had a navy that was stronger than anyone else and forced people to buy their shitty products like Opium.

Today just look at their biggest banks. Despite being a financial powerhouse, their biggest bank is ironically HSBC which is leeching of Hong Kong. The other ones lost their power years ago. The London stock exchange is only 11th in the world by market cap now. This is what happens when you can't force people to buy your garbage stuff anymore and have to compete in the free market. The same will happen to the US if they don't shape up. We can already see a decline in US quality like Boeing.

How about China catch’s up to TSMC, cut the USA off from all advanced chips as a matter of nation security, China gets Taiwan back peacefully and the USA enjoys its civil war while China gets the pop corn and watch. There is no conclusion where the USA should benefit from causing all this trouble for China, whether it’s Biden or Trump, in the near future, they will simply lose and STFU and take it like a man and GTFO of Chinas affairs for good unless that want the big one dropping in on Washington DC. It literally the only language they understand because dancing on someone’s red line ought to have lethal consequences and those stupid little b@st@rds don’t ever seem to register this, I mean Russia showed it quite clearly unless it’s only because Russia didn’t send a big one to Washington that they seem to think they have won a victory of sorts little seriously think about how good for the world it will be when those elites kick the bucket, I mean no one here or any where can legitimately come up with a reason why these group of useless little sh!ts should exist in this world any more and certainly any where near the top of leadership as all those wealthy scum have shown

Putin willing to visit Pyongyang soon, North Korea says

SEOUL, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his willingness to visit Pyongyang soon when he met with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui in Russia last week, North Korea's state news agency KCNA reported on Sunday.

Putin also thanked North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for his invitation to visit, KCNA said, citing North Korea's foreign minister's assistant office.

It would be the Russian leader's first trip to North Korea in more than two decades.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that Russia hoped a Putin visit to North Korea, at Kim's invitation, would take place "in the foreseeable future", but he said no date had yet been agreed.

KCNA's Korean-language report on Sunday suggested Putin intended to visit soon, but its later English report said he was "willing" to do so at an early date.

During Choe's visit, Russia thanked North Korea for its support and solidarity in its Ukraine military operation, KCNA said.

Moscow and Pyongyang also expressed serious concern over provocative acts by the United States and its allies against North Korea's sovereign rights, while agreeing to cooperate in dealing with the regional situation, the report said.

The cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow will be in line with the spirit of the U.N. Charter and other international laws, it added.

After taking over from Boris Yeltsin in 1999, Putin visited Pyongyang in July 2000 for a meeting with Kim Jong Il, the father of Kim Jong Un.

The Russian president accepted Kim's invite when they met in Russia for a summit in September, Peskov said previously.
Kim and Putin's growing ties in recent years have worried Washington and its allies who have condemned arms trade between the two countries as a violation of multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions.

Pyongyang's transfer of ballistic missiles and other weapons to Russia for use against Ukraine and its continued development of nuclear and ballistic missile programmes demand attention and coordinated action, Jung Pak, U.S. senior official for North Korea, said at a meeting with the nuclear envoys of South Korea and Japan in Seoul on Thursday.

Unfortunately, the opposite is true for the Military-Industry-Complex. They don't really care how many Americans will die. They just want to prolong the war. The longer the war, the fuller their coffers will be.

Well said, no lies detected:
