They don't want to admit they're crying for help. It's too much for them to handle alone. Look at how the mightiest naval alliance in the world can't handle of a bunch of Houthis. That's how they're spinning this now as China being a paper tiger. It's not any different from the logic how they claim how China isn't a superpower unless China performs the duties the West proclaims they have to do of a superpower aka policing the world for their Western interests.
Its highly unlikely. Communist basically started basically from North which was much more educated and numerous. now things are much balanced.

Rather than just a corporate strategy screw up by TSMC and Samsung, isn't it also possible that key decision makers were bribed and/or threatened/blackmailed by US proxies to go all in on these fabs?
