It is better this way. Sadly, Vietnam and Cambodia would soon have better living standard than Philippines.

I feel sad for the ordinary Filipino who were looking forward to a brighter future of development.

But for the Filipino elites and Bong Bong, you guys please just continue to fool around and find out. Please take loans from big brother USA and see what develops in the Philippines. The only thing that might develop is the military, which will still be nothing against China. Meanwhile the ordinary Filipinos don't see any improvements in their living standards. Then let's see how popular you guys will get.

This meeting at the State Dept seems very tense.
Wang Yi is going to meet with Sullivan first then Biden.

Transcript of Wang Yi and Blinken's Photo OP from US embassy in China Weibo

I didn't catch what Wang Yi said on camera, turns out he laughed that Blinken's introduction is so short.

These meetings between Chinese and US officials are mostly important for the prevention of a potential nuclear conflict at this point.

I don't think any other concessions or common language will be found ever again in the future regarding any open conflicts of interest.

Hopefully China can walk away from using anything Microsoft. Maybe we can start seeing the CNSA and the PLA use a different operating system in their promo ads.

LOL Sullivan needs to brief Wang Yi as Biden really isn't in control. Unfortunately Yi has to waste his time going through the motions pretending Biden is in control of things for domestic purposes.

Biden Urges ‘Open Lines’ in Meeting With China’s Foreign Minister

  • Talks fail to yield announcement on possible Biden-Xi meeting
  • Wang Yi in Washington for two days of high-level meetings
President Joe Biden stressed the importance of managing competition and maintaining lines of communication between the world’s two largest economies during a meeting Friday with China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, according to the White House.

“The president emphasized that both the United States and China need to manage competition in the relationship responsibly and maintain open lines of communication,” the White House said in a readout of the meeting. “He underscored that the United States and China must work together to address global challenges.”
The meeting did not yield an announcement about whether the US president would meet next month with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.

“Both sides regularly acknowledged the importance of leader-level channels of communication to manage this most consequential bilateral relationship,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters Friday. “The president has stated multiple times that he hopes to see President Xi in the near future.”

The White House said Biden also expressed his condolences
