Seems like a replay of the Australian soldiers fiasco. If the government just ignored the tweet/tweets then the situation wouldn’t escalate.
This petty fight over Central/South American and Pacific Island states is senseless. Both China and Taiwan essentially waste gobs of money for no good cause.

China has such a huge lead that it doesn't really matter.
And cheaper investment than say convince Canada or France to have a vote for Chinese Interest. Its actually a smart move.

Rumours from Taiwan says Guyana's turnabout is because of 20,000 doses of vaccine from China. If so that's a bargain, I'll make that deal every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
In fact, I'm willing to part with 20,000 more doses if Taiwan also admits One China policy.
