An argument can be made that Australia as a nation state never really existed; that it was merely an outpost for the Anglos to source their footsoldiers for their colonial wars. Further evidence to support this is the fact that the Commonwealth of Australia is incorporated in New York. What nation state would willingly under the humiliation of being incorporated as a consumer good in another nation?
The only other nation to do that, was the former state of Afghanistan before its liberation by the Taliban; Afghanistan even had a CEO (!) who fled the country with stolen state monies and suitcases full of US dollars.

Mexico is a non-factor; cartels are motivated by quick-money, not politics; they fight, each other, over money, not politics! The majority of Mexicans don’t come to the U. S. for politics; they come to work in order to feed their three children, buy trucks, and buy beer! There’ll be no insurgent revolutions in the U. S.; we have the most Bread and the biggest, non-stop, Circuses!
China’s best move would be to support and encourage AmeriKKKan etho-nationalist racist movements, particularly those with Evangelical Christian window-dressings. Those are the greatest threat to what little political cohesion remains in the U. S. Or, they could contribute to the campaigns of the oldest politicians in the U. S. government, ‘cause those old coots is ‘bout to screw things up, royally! Then again, why not just support Trump, he’s For Sale, right now!
Well, the vast majority of Germanic people didn't migrate to Roman Empire for their politics. Yet Odoacer, the man that ended the Western Roman Empire, was a Germanic general. Likewise, when the six frontier towns revolted and overthrew the Northern Wei dynasty, did it matter that the inhabitants of those towns were descents of barbarians that originally came to Northern Wei for a better life?

Someone from a telegram group I hang out with said he got themself an engineering sample Huawei Mate40 Pro:
View attachment 116635
He said this is definitely not a normal Mate40 Pro and is potent of things to come soon. From a quick google it certainly looks like a different CPU config than what can be expected.

He says that chip is far superior to Snapdragon 888 (he's exact words "花式吊打888"). I don't know much about phones, anyone care to comment?
Is there a particular reason why they still insist on using curved bezel in TYOOL 2023?

Can't really comment about CPU because, well, I don't think I'll get my hands on one of those, so there is no way to actually verify (not that I have anything with Snapdragon 888). I guess I'll just have to take your friend's word at face value. That being said, at certain point, I don't think it is particularly useful to shove a stupidly-powerful processor into a cellphone. I mean, for 99% of mundane usage, that sort of capability is completely unused, which means you are just buying a hotter brick with a heavier battery to cope with the higher power consumption.

Unless, of course, it is meant to make civilians subsidize the development for military use. In that case... heheheh...

This historian begs to differ with the charged that Flavius Odoacer was responsible for the demise of the western Roman empire.

"Although everyone from schoolchildren to scholars now learn that the Western Roman Empire fell in 476, 5th century Romans did not see anything particularly special about Odoacer’s coup. Nine different Western Roman emperors had risen and fallen since 455 and most of them had been overthrown by barbarian commanders like Odoacer. In four cases, the barbarian generals toppled one emperor and delayed appointing another. One of these imperial vacancies stretched for 20 months, a span longer than the entire reigns of more than 20 previous Roman emperors. Even Romulus Augustus himself was a usurper who assumed the imperial office after an imperfectly executed coup that left Julius Nepos, the legitimate emperor Romulus replaced, still in charge of Western Roman imperial territories in what is now Croatia. In other words, while the West had lost an imperial usurper in 476, it still had a legitimate Roman emperor.

Odoacer maintained most of the structures of the Roman government during the nearly 17 years he controlled the state. The Senate continued to meet in Rome just as it had for nearly a millennium. Latin remained the language of administration. Roman law governed the land. Roman armies continued to fight and win victories on the frontiers. And Roman emperors appeared on the coins that Odoacer minted. These coins showed Julius Nepos at first and then, after Nepos’s death in 480, they featured the busts of the Eastern Roman emperors who reigned in Constantinople."

What I'm trying to say is that while the influx of Germanic tribes into Roman Empire initially resembled economic migration, their descendants ended up breaking up the Roman Empire.

Two takes:
#1 - Do we know many Chinese nationals are currently in these countries?
#2 - PLAN warships definitely cannot fly over the Sahara Desert to evacuate Chinese nationals there in case war breaks out.
China definitely needs a military air base with permanent PLAAF presence in the region.
This Niger situation is escalating very fast, both Burkina Faso and Mali said they would militarily back the new Niger goverment.

I think China has warships currently docked at Djibouti Base. As I recall China also had a warship near West Africa on route to the Indian ocean, it should have passed the Cape of Good Hope now?

7月27号,南宁舰、三亚舰和微山湖舰组成的第43批护航编队离开南非,目前估计已经向东过了好望角;
052D“南宁舰”舰、054A护卫舰“三亚舰”和903综合补给舰“微山湖舰”
The 43rd Escort Formation which just left South Africa contains 052D Nanning, 054A Sanya and 903 Weisanhu.

The world better start getting use to maps like these.

Why don't they live the lie that everything they have from toasters to supercomputers have the best chips in them. They don't need legacy chips.
The absurdity of this whole thing just lends credence to the claim that the west wants to rule over everyone. Can't have advanced chips, can't have legacy chips either. It's maddening.

Maybe China should make a statement militarily that demonstrates the age of neocolonialism in Africa is coming to an end.
