Textbook American values, all for starting the fire but don’t want to face any of the inevitable consequences, never mind take any responsibility.

This is the truest expression of America’s obsession with ‘freedom’ and why it’s doomed to oppression, tyranny and redirected violence - at its heart, American culture is based on the promise that one can do whatever they want and be free from all the negative consequences of their choices. It works as intended only for the top 0.1%, everyone else is just human consumables to be used up as needed allow the top 0.1% to enjoy such privileges. When lies and police brutality can no longer keep the 99.9% in check, foreign enemies conveniently appear to force the US to unite to defeat the external enemy.

China is just the latest in a long line of such foreign enemies for the US. The biggest differences are that this time, China is no hopelessly outmatch weakling, and America has allowed the corruption to spread too far and too fast that it is but a pale shadow of its former might.

For America to start a hot war against China is akin to a replay of the Opium War, only it’s the Qing who is sending warships to attack the British in the channel.

China’s recently announced export controls on gallium could hit the US defense industry, as this material, with China with China being the leading producer and supplier in the world, is widely used in advanced radar systems installed on warplanes, warships and ground installations, experts said on Tuesday.

Starting August 1, China will impose export controls on gallium and germanium as well as several chemical compounds involving the two materials, according to a notice China’s Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs

.

Items meeting certain characteristics shall not be exported without approval, the notice stated.

The move aims to safeguard national security and interests, it said.

Gallium and germanium are used in the making of semiconductors and other electronic components, observers said.

Chinese military analysts said that the export controls, particularly those on gallium, could hit the US defense industry at a time when the US is attempting to militarily contain China’s development.

Gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN) are the most basic materials in the making of the transmit receive modules on active electronic scanning array (AESA) radars, which are widely used on modern warplanes, warships and ground installations, Fu Qianshao, a Chinese military aviation expert, told the Global Times on Tuesday.

For example, US’ defense companies Raytheon and Northrop Grumman are reportedly introducing new AESA radar systems based on GaN, which provide superior performance than previously used GaAs. The latest radars for the F/A-18E/F carrier-based fighter jet and the F-35 stealth fighter jet also incorporate GaN.

Both GaN and GaAs are included on China’s list of export controls.

China accounts for about 85 percent of global gallium reserves, meaning that it is unlikely for the US and other Western countries to avoid using the Chinese materials without significant cost, Fu said.

The US frequently deploys its warplanes and warships on China’s doorsteps for close-in reconnaissance, provocative transits and exercises as well as showcasing deterrence purposes, in addition to continuing arms sales to the island of Taiwan, which are obvious attempts to contain China’s development and harm China’s national security and interests, analysts said.

EU-Japan to upgrade security ties in Asia: summit statement draft

Establishing minister-level meetings and joint naval drills will be on agenda.

BRUSSELS -- The European Union and Japan will launch a new framework of security cooperation and jointly tackle maritime and cyber security issues in East Asia, Nikkei has learned, according to a draft of the joint summit statement, which will be finalized next week. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will visit Brussels next Thursday and will meet European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel before the joint statement is finalized.

According to the draft seen by Nikkei, the EU and Japan will upgrade their security ties with a new cooperation framework, including the establishment of regular ministerial-level meetings. The draft also mentions that both parties will cooperate in areas including maritime, space, cyber and preventing misinformation, enabling them to go beyond their conventional areas of cooperation which have focused on economic issues.

The move comes as China expands its military influence both in the East and South China seas, and increasing concerns that a potential crisis over Taiwan, which China claims, will affect the entire global economy, including Europe. Through the summit, the 27-member EU bloc is expected to send a message to the international community that it intends to commit to security issues in Asia. At the bilateral level, France and Japan have already established a two-plus-two meeting including foreign affairs and defense ministers, while Germany and Japan have a framework of ministerial-level meetings including foreign affairs, defense and finance.

In June, von der Leyen noted in an

with Nikkei that the European nations will "upgrade" their cooperation with Japan. The two parties conducted joint maritime drills to combat piracy off the coast of Somalia in 2014, with Italy, an EU member, and Japan's self-defense forces both sending naval vessels.

The EU and Japan are also considering carrying out similar joint drills in Asian waters, with the idea of raising the EU flag next to local national ones to underline the European bloc's commitment to the region. These are part of the agenda that Japan will discuss with the EU over enhancing maritime patrol capabilities as a third party in the region.

The summit draft also expresses serious concerns about the security of the East and South China seas, where China has been spreading its military influence. Both the EU and Japan stress in the draft that they will strongly oppose any attempt to unilaterally change the status quo by force or coercion, regarding Taiwan.

The EU will also reaffirm its position to completely abolish import restrictions on Japanese food products, which were put in place after the 2011 accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

Good. It saves China the headache of seeing more DJI drones serving on the Ukrainian side. By the way, DJI drones are not weapons. China does not sell weapons to either side. Not officially.

Good. Go and buy those Western drones with more Western taxpayers' money.
That just means they'll be buying DJI's at retail, not bulk. Very nice.

Lol, I thought Ukraine needs the help of the west to basically survive another day against Russia, way to shoot down your chances of success by trying to virtue signal the very people you need support from (all those traitors and thugs from Brussels do not count as people and should quite Frankly for the peace of the world should eat an iskander to the face). Oh well, if Europe burns itself down and in turn burns Ukraine down along with it, I wonder, would anyone want to be so eager to suck Uncle Sam’s ding ding. I mean look at those HK people in the UK commit suicide because London isn’t all sun shine and rainbows (most grey and down cast if I have to be honest), they must seriously regret their stupid choices by now
I can only say "it's probably cultural". Given the Poles were doing the same thing, I can't even be sarcastic about this
